What kind of recipes?

Fried foods?

Really traditional foods?

Rice?

What do you like?

Cool!

If you like rice, here's a recipe of mine that was really popular at one of my former restaurants!

Get some sticky glutinous rice, and cook it as you would any rice.

Grab some beef (any cut) and sear it nicely.

Lay the beef on top of the rice, and garnish with lots of sauteed shiitake mushrooms, carrots, and whatever other vegetables you like that add lots of colour.

In a small pot or pan, combine 7 parts mirin, 3 parts rice wine, 1 part onions sauce, and reduce until the mixture is lovely and sweet, and add some corn starch slurry to thicken it.

Pour some around the rim between the bowl and the rice, and then drizzle the rest over the beef and the beef. Keep the vegetables beautiful.

Top with sesame seeds and garnish with a few drops of sesame oil.

Enjoy!

Sup Yokohama bro. I live near Kichijoji in Western Tokyo. I went to Kawagoe last weekend. Had a bunch of yakitori and hot sake and some of those dashi-pickled cucumbers. Shit was cash. I'm looking forward to the leaves changing color soon. Thinking about going somewhere in Yamanashi to enjoy it.

Here's a picture of a shrine that I jog by sometimes. It's shichi-go-san season so there are lots of families bringing their kids for the ritual. It's adorable.

I've always been curious at how you get to actually live in japan
aside from becoming an english teacher or something a lot crazier like marrying a native, what kind of qualifications are needed? always assumed you'd need a very high end job/company to be sent there, that or being deployed

Just lurk /biz/ and read some books, Ben Cowen and Jordan Lindley on YouTube are must for crypto investing.

The largest transfer of wealth is currently happening as we speak, investing in crypto is a MUST. It is not a meme, it is not a joke, its the real deal. Just focus on the real projects and avoid the meme coins/stocks and you'll be good to go!

Bitcoin will be going higher this year and next year its projected to crash hard, keep that in mind and watch every new Ben Cowen video you can.

god speed anon chan

Learn Japanese and apply for a job on a Japanese recruiting site. That's all you need. Go into whatever field interests you. You're going to need a degree for the visa. Otherwise come as a student.

Mind if I ask you a few questions? I'm a professional horticulturalist currently working at a Japanese garden in the US. I've got an undergrad in Horticulture and have worked several botanical garden positions. I've visited Japan 3 times, and have been to IRL gardens my garden has loose connections to, though they aren't anything substantial. It's always been a dream of mine to actually study/intern/apprentice under a real sauce Japanese gardener in the country. However, I know there are no real pathways to accomplishing that like there are with programs for IT, study abroad, or english teaching and all that. My organization has this very lovely Japanese woman who has been very helpful with answering my questions, but she works with the museum in curation and thus doesn't know much about Japanese gardening. Her advice to me (after become nihongo jouzu of course) was to try and get my foot in the door in Japan by first getting a shitter job, like english teacher, and using my time there to build connections with local gardens. She and my head gardener are willing to write me letters of recommendation/introduction, but I'm just very unsure of what path to go on. If it's possible, what would your advice be if you don't mind me asking?
Thanks for reading my blog btw, pic related

Ok so you have the degree, therefore you qualify for a work visa. That is the biggest hurdle in the path for most people. I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to accomplish this dream, it's not outlandish in any way it just sounds like you need to figure out how to get the ball rolling.
Being able to speak Japanese will be absolutely essential for you if you want to achieve this. People make it sound like it's difficult but it's really not. How much do you know now? Set up Yomichan and Anki if you haven't already and start mining words from Japanese media to expand your vocabulary. You should be trying to spend as much time using Japanese as possible so you can achieve your goal faster. But don't worry about being perfect, just get as far as you can.
I agree with the lady. You don't have to start as an English teacher, but it's an easy way to get into the country and in your career field might be the easiest way to start. Just make sure you have everything for your career in check before you go into English teaching. Letters etc as you mentioned. Get everything documented, proof of employment etc and hell even photos of you working there if you can. Get those letters in Japanese, or translated to Japanese.
But keep in mind that you DO NOT want to work as an English teacher UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES so the moment you get over here you need to immediately go to some gardens and inquire about it with them. Find the gardens before you even come to Japan and try to get a teaching job in the area of the gardens you have in mind.
Hell, maybe even contact the gardens before you come to Japan It's possible that they might just sponsor your visa and bring you over if you can prove you do good work.

>>37041768
I'm halfway through core2k but do need to work on mining. For the letters, one of the biggest reasons I'm interested in getting the Japanese woman's letter, is because it would be in Japanese and my understanding is that a letter written by a Japanese person would hold more weight compared to one written by my direct boss. Could you explain what you mean with your concerns with English Teaching? I know it's rather low brow, but if I were to use that method as a way to obtain a longer visa than tourist, doesn't that lock one in a contract? Additionally, wouldn't the visa become nulled if I were to quit that teaching job? Thanks for answering these btw
