FSN's translation needs A LOT of work. It took over a decade for the western fanbase to find out about Einzberns using Siegfried's cursed gold as part of the basis for the Grail (which does goes a long way in explaining why the Einzberns kept getting burned on the deal in Grail Wars). There's a reason why Mahoyo is just translating from the french translation (the French and Italian translation is excellent and tries to be as close as the Japanese as possible, including as many translation notes as needed. Italy and France are the biggest markets for Manga since the 80's) instead of directly translating the japanese script, because no one that knows Japanese and English is willing to do it

Arc is the main heroine and while her route remained somewhat the same as the OG, she was a lot more likable in the remake too. Then she also gets a lot of good scenes in Ciel's route which helps increase her popularity (not counting the fact that she's still getting an ultimate route or something). No, Shirou's issue is that he values others more than himself it has nothing to do with whether he'd rather save x or y. Even Archer's death in UBW is a mockery. Nasu says that smile is for Rin's sake and nothing else. Archer will still be bitter despite what went down in the route.
Even Saber's story is reduced to "you tried, you failed, now fuck off and die already", hence why he never bothers talking about what happens to her in UBW and HF, despite making sure you know Sakura will never be saved in Fate and UBW, and it's your fault for being an immature reader for liking those Routes.

Heaven's Feel is the route that has a different OP in the PS Vita release while Fate and UBW are almost identical.

Sakura is the relationship that Nasu describes as "Ai" aka pure love, while Saber and Rin are "koi", as childish infatuation.
Nasu also says he wrote FSN wishing readers would wish to get to know Saber and Rin, but cuddle with Sakura.
Nasu didn't want to write Last Episode. He also didn't bother insisting on a Fate Route anime adaptation just because Miura and Sudou prefer UBW and HF.

Anyone else find it interesting that in Arc route Shiki is able to identify moments where there is high concentrations of 'death' and able to overturn guaranteed death? During his final sprint to Vlov, he somehow altered his position to avoid the lance while it should normally be impossible. It came off like his body was reacting on it's own.

Then in Ciel route it came off more that he evaded the spear because he recognized that Ciels attack would throw it off course.

Best thing about Shiki vs Vlov in Arc route is that thematically the writing was playing with the reader. They had planned to lure Vlov to a park but instead Vlov has none of that and we get chaos in the city. Instead of Shiki hiding and backstabbing him or being underestimated they have Vlov force him into a direct encounter and because of his skills as a knight and killer instantly recognizes that Shiki is a threat. Vlov spends the rest of the fight leaving nothing to chance. It was pretty cool way to overturn expectations.
