Don't use kana input. You'll see little to no benefit from it, and essentially everyone uses romaji input.

If you're aiming to become a typist or the kind of sperg who uses dvorak, you could consider thumb-shift, but that requires a whole new keyboard. Switching between Japanese and English is far more of a hassle with kana input.

Speedrun kana (you probably have done this), start slowly with kanji, you cannot speedrun it (maybe you could speed it up by 10x if you have 8 hours to study it, but long term memory is more important, the AJAAT sentence anki decks that are shilled like Tango N5 are not terrible because they show sentences but I think it's very important to understand grammar and particles before, but RTK is also pretty useful if you want to read or write kanji and understand kanji closer, you don't need to know radicals, but just being familiar is important).
Genki is a good textbook if you want something to not be on a computer screen, but if you are pirating it, I would rather suggest other sources.
Scattered information I recommend:

*Take this with a grain of salt because I started 4 days ago, and I can somewhat read sentences, kanji is still suffering but yobichan helps, you can also do a complex setup so that yobichan can inject anki cards into your deck.

some companies will literally hire you and pay you to train you to be a programmer. See if you can find company like that. if not, start with the fundamental concepts of programming. If you can read the 20/80 sentence structure article, good for you. But when I tried it didn't click, but when cure dolly spoon feeds and hand holds much more and that lets the structure in 20/80 make more sense.
Maybe genki is better because it teaches japanese using english concepts, but I think dolly is right that you need to look at japanese like a completely foreign concept that you need to learn in abstract concepts.
And the videos are short so if you think she's whack, well congrats you lost 1 hour compared to the next 10,000 hours you will need to spend to be fluent in Japanese.
Also the whack explanations are important if you want to watch her videos on "reading videos", because I don't know other places spoon feeds you how Japanese sentences are broken down.

People pay for a VHS for music of the person singing and dancing a bit, they expect the music to not have noise in it. If they dance a bit that can affect the singing, but they don't move that much so I don't see why they would lip sync (but it's not impossible, and note that many old videos can have bad track syncing so you may think a cut may shows obvious lip syncing but it could just be a bad edit).
Also sometimes recordings like this are sometimes are the master song (for example supertramp exclusively used live recordings for their songs), so this might not be a lip sync even if the song is 1:1 to the CD version, but I don't care enough to check if that's the case or not.
Even if it was lip syncing it wouldn't matter because maybe the voices are post processed or it's very difficult to get a close to 1:1 audio due to room acoustics of speakers. And these songs are probably played on TV like the equivalent of MTV for non hip-hop songs so it better be good music for people to want to buy it, and they aren't advertising it as a live video.
