A character from Fate that originally had a role so tiny that she could barely be said to exist, but who has lately been gaining visibility for some reason. A competing magician who has a kind of a Sakura/Karin relationship with Rin and all the same powers.

It's oddly appropriate that LGE wants to kill Rin for being too huge a slut.

Even if this doujin series has the only version of Rin I kind of actually like.

The short chronologue of Luvia's appearances in official Type-Moon works:

2004: F/SN is released. Luvia is mentioned by name and gets one line but doesn't even get to even visually appear.
2005: Fate/Hollow Ataraxia comes out. Luvia appears in two scenes. Most people quickly forget about her.
2007: PS2 port of F/SN. Luvia's one single line is voiced.
2008 April: The April fools wrestling joke at the Type-Moon web page shows off a spandex-clad Luvia. At this point she is still so unknown that people think she is a new character invented specifically for the joke.
2008 June: Fate/Unlimited Codes comes out to arcades. Luvia is a playable character for the first time, and she's top tier due to that goddamn OHHOHHOHOHO grab chain that takes off 75% of your life bar. Later in the year F/UC is ported to PS2.
2008, late year: The official-but-not-in-continuity Kaleid Liner joke manga begins. Suddenly HOLY BALLS IT'S LUVIA EVERYWHERE.
2009 June: F/UC is ported to the PSP. Luvia's grab chain is no longer uninterruptible and she is demoted straight to shit tier.
2009: Kaleid Liner's "sequel" KL Zwei starts, Luvia is still the third or fourth most notable character.

Basically, she was pushed from some below-Ilya's-maids tier to an actual fairly visible character in a single year or so.

I believe her route would have been actually a near side route. It seems like it would have been rather out of sync with the other near side routes (i.e. Shiki probably ends up opposing Ciel and possibly Arc as well, as well as having to worry about Roa and Chaos.

And it would probably be pretty damn dark. And violent, to the point I'd almost say it would read more like a route in F/SN.
