Aki Eda is too lovely. Reading the artist's work is like reading a charming moege, which definitely will turn some people off because it's not real deal enough.

Sound effects.... sorry not my cup of tea. People often translate them in three styles:
1. Straight translation like ドン! straight to DON!
2. They "interpret" the sound to something familiar to western comic readers. Like "SHOCK!" or "BANG!"
3. They just put explanation text next to the japanese sound effect like "SFX: something hit hard"

For me I can't say which is better and even if I do some may not agree. So I don't normally participate in sfx in translations. I just let the other decides for me.
