Despite all the flak she got, I'll miss the original artist. The girly style was charming, especially the alternate outfits they did like ponytail Ran. Such a shame they couldn't work on it anymore, I remember some posts way back saying she was barely into her teens, maybe the deadlines of an official serialization were just too much for them to handle.

The new artist is a solid pick though. At least we'll get to see the story to it's conclusion now.

Seeing the two translated doujins the artist has to their name, I wonder if this is the official 2hu artist that has done the most "questionable" content fan content. With the exception of pedosaka, which even then hasn't gone too explicit with 2hu fan content.

Seeing her works outside of detective satori made me appreciate her much more, she has a charming style but I can't get to like it her on detective satori at all. She doesn't fit for a serialized manga.

I think it was more of the pressure that got to the last artist, since she got quite a bit of flak because of her early art. (Stuff like empty backgrounds, odd angles, lack of detail and coloring at times, etc.)
Her art and designs got much cuter as it went along, but the stress by that point was probably too much for her.

She definitely wasn't being overworked, especially with how short the last few chapters were.

The Yakumo uniform redesign looked great on Chen, and yeah I never got why haters focused on the artstyle of all things. It looked very neat and pleasant.
