The most fascinating things about the Bad Apple video is the fact that it has highquality 3d models and animations on par on what is created with motioncapture (Did the video use MoCap?).
It was also aesthetically appealing with its black and white without any sense of depth, using this in clever ways in order to "change scenes".

I don't really know what I think of the way bad apples used its music together with the graphics, but it wasn't bad and either way the videos strong points lies in other areas.

Models only have medium poly count, and the animation is only on par with the better Miku/Whatever character 3d dance animations. Its actually far too fluid to be motion capture. Black and white is also a way to cut down on work.

Although I don't think the product was bad, I dislike a lot of the dance animations, which seemed like the characters are dancing for no reason, and with no context.
