For those interested to know, I did some damage calculations for nelson touch against E3-4 LD boss. It assumes green T, full health, and an equipment set up of 2 prot 41cm guns upgraded to 9*, an T1AP shell upgraded to 6* and the a regular recon plane.
The results are that with a critical hit, the damage is more or less a uniform distribution on the interval [561,796] and with a crit, the interval is [1096,1331]. The distribution is based on the armour roll of the boss. Basically, you could get lucky and one shot the boss with only Nelson. Perhaps this will give any struggling anons hope.
tl;dr, nelson can get up to 1331 from her touch under optimal conditions, more than the 1080 hp the boss has

About to start E3-4 LD, what would be the most effective spot to level my LBAS?

Apparently after E3-2 or E3-3 LBAS base changes location and now range to node B is 9, which makes it unreachable if I want to level range 4 planes, even with the help of Taitei.

I had to use this CTF, which I would not recommend unless you locked Nagato and Mutsu somewhere. Started with sub, but she was getting taiha on node X most of the time, and I didn't want to waste damecons here, so swapped her with Abukuma.
This composition was shaving off 50-70 TP every time I got A-rank on boss, which is like 60% of the total runs where I actually reached the boss. Almost every run I had to evacuate someone. With STF you can probably pack more daihatsu and get 100-ish TP on A-rank.
Both supports are only necessary (IMO) in case of using CTF - give it a few tries to decide for yourself. Route support was very helpful with node X, while boss support was meh.
I also had to send two LBAS (2 fighters, ginga, Taitei; 3 gingas, Taitei) to X to increase my chances of passing it without someone getting taiha.
Tl;dr: use NagaMutsu or prepare to waste a lot of time and resources.

I've also tried dong with shooters at the bottom excepting Ooyodo, Murasame/Kawakaze/Kuroshio all with double attacks, but it barely helped.
It's stupid targeting shit mostly. 3-4 shooters in night battle and they all ignore the He-class to shoot at the meatshields. I wish I get that kind of luck in actual boss snipes.

This is a bad fleet and people should really stop copying this underoptimized stuff without thinking (not talking about you in particular, just making a point).
Yodo in E2P1 is a total waste, I used Tatsuta who is much less valuable.
I assume he's attempting to get AS with that setup, which is retarded since you have nobody who'd benefit from it.
AV should have daihatsu/recon/optorp or something like that, and the CL should also mule daihatsu.
A submarine with boiler and turbine (no need to holepunch) can also be helpful.
If you have all ducks, you can also use one of them for AACI.
And look at your LBAS well.

That aside, while Yodo might be a total waste, AS isn't from my experience. Clearing out CV Hime's slots with AACI seems to be a regular occurrence, assuming I don't run into Na.

Speaking of which, what is that sub tanking E2 strat I'm hearing about? I heard one of those CF you need later is essentially trivialized with a sub tank. Even have 2-3 married subs I can bring out for this.

Anyway, don't blindly trust zekamashi or whoever.
Things like AS and plane wipeout would be extremely valuable in a nomal combat run, which this one is not.
The sub (can be any random SS/SSV, no need to pick a married one) is used for routing, tanking and optorp.
Not mandatory (you can use Akitsumaru, for example), but it's pretty good: you either retreat at first node paying nothing or reach the boss and pray you don't get the fat CL comp.
