Most are on the same release schedule as any other game. Similar event rewards and bonus campaigns. Main drawback is rates seldom go above 3% total for highest rarity and 1% for the newest additions, but I swear I've had better luck in these compared to my normal games. Most utilize Live2D and nearly all of them voice their characters somewhat. Except for the one with gameplay.

I have one literal clicker-tier card game that's so old it still only releases new things in paid banners. But it gives you so many tickets to roll normally that I keep it around to collect scenes, basically don't even bother "playing" it. It also never tops the popularity rankings. Most others seldom gate anything behind a paywall, because it generally pisses off whales.

Anyway, most of these types of gacha games have the same underlying structure of stats and elements and triangles. These just happen to feature porn in their character stories too. Quite the curse for knowing Japanese and being able to play any of these.

There is no option to play manual lives.
They have a new auto mode which is limited by passes similar to mirishita.
You get 5 for free each day then you can buy 5 more for 10k money each for 10 total each day, you can't get any more as random drops like in mirishita.
Once you're out of passes you can't play any lives on the DMM client.
You can use all your passes at once to get more rewards, although rewards are also reduced by 20% compared to manual lives.
Auto'd lives also don't count towards missions.

Basically the DMM version is useless for anything other than watching MVs because it's more convenient to just open the game on a phone and dump all your auto passes at once and you're still going to need to play the game on your phone anyway to do missions.

I ended up dropping Idoly because too many limiteds and not enough currency without buying the passes. It's absolutely dogshit for F2P. I saved up my first spark and blew it on limited Mei/Kotono banner, got 3 5* in 200 rolls and none of them were the rateup. Dreaded thinking about how much time it would take to save another spark so I just uninstalled right there. I also never got a single 5* from the regular ticket fragments either so I think my account seed was just awful.

So I read about Project Tokyo Dolls and why it will not have an offline version despite the demand for it. In summary, Square Enix can't handle some, if not all, of the 4+ years of PTD content to an offline version. The models and voices within those contents are big data and maybe because they do not have a dedicated storage in their servers to keep anything should they make an offline version.

A costume design contest will also be held for the game - the vote will be held in December for the winners, probably during the anniversary stream.
I hope the costumes come to the main game.
