It was planned to come out for Alice-Soft's 20th anniversary. But the writer ended up working on something else(VN based on WW2, apparently). So since they can't make entirely new Rance game for anniversary they'll ra-make the second one.

Rance 8 was supposed to be All-Star festival featuring characters from all games. Not sure if it will still be one since anniversary has passed.
