Finished Muramasa, won't say too much since i don't wanna spoil anything. Mini review:
To start this off, i think the quality of Muramasa is hugely reflected in the fact that Narahara Ittetsu felt so fulfilled with this work, that he just didn't write anything else afterwards.

I can proudly say that it is the greatest philosophical work regarding the natures of justice, evil, and vengeance that i have read.
Many of the views regarding those ideas that Ittetsu presents i could deeply resonate with and i was even reaffirming mine by playing.

And even those that challenged my views were still a joy to read through and understand.
Another great thing about Muramasa is it's meaty and complex cast. Almost every character has some sort of impact and leaves an impression, no one is there just to fulfill "a role"

The highlights of the cast for me were Kageaki and another character that i don't wanna name due to spoilers.
Kageaki's character arc in particular is something special to witness. He definitely has a spot at the top in my all time favorites. Same with the other character

Sadly i can't go into too much detail about how much i love them and the rest of the cast yet, but i would love to revisit some of their characters and share my views and thoughts regarding the cast once more people Have read and experienced this masterpiece.

I did have a few small problems with it's pacing, particularly some action scenes, but besides that i could keep singing its praises on and on, but i did said this would be a "mini review".
So to wrap this up, i fully encourage everyone to read Muramasa. It is truly something one of a kind, from its memorable, complex, and lovable cast to its extensive, beautiful, and captivating music&artwork and so on.

It's a true showcase of how powerful this medium can really be, and it is an experience and journey that i will treasure for a really long time, both for its philosophical aspect and just purely the entertainment value of all the cool and engaging mysteries, action, and so on.

There's a lot of other aspects of this work that i haven't touched up on since there truly is so much to talk about, some that would spoilers as well, but maybe some other time.

Thank you for reading this and i hope everyone can enjoy this masterpiece next month.

Just finished my second route of Tsukikana and I can only say I'm tired.
I wanted to make a lenghty post about it, but I won't, that's how tired I am right now.
I've read Touka's route first and that was a huge disappointment (also heroine screentime to plot ratio is absolutely retarded), so I decided to give the VN a second chance by trying out Seira's route.
When the After Part started I already had a general idea on how the drama was going to play out if the writer was retarded, and boy did I fucking hope he wasn't.
Needless to say, the drama was so boring and predictable, the moment Seira made a move on the MC and he promptly ignored her I heard something snap in my brain and pressed CTRL and didn't let go of it until the credit roll started a good 5 minutes later.
The funniest thing is that I'm sure I figured 90% of the rest of the cliche phrases and developments even at warp speed while the post-drama, lenghty vanilla porn scenes where flashing before my eyes.
I think I'll put the VN down for now since I'm really tired of it, and maybe after some time I'll try out Rein's route since it must have been really fucking good for her to get a FD.
Maybe Tonework's stuff really isn't for me.

Try Sekimeiya. It's a sci-fi mystery game in the vein of Ever17, Remember11, etc. You said you didn't like SoL which made me think of it, because the game is almost totally focused on the plot. It almost verges on an adventure game as your enjoyment is determined by trying to work the mystery out for yourself, and it includes a note-taking system as well as letting you freely search the game text. That being said the mystery aspect is extremely complicated, and it has one of the most technically complex plots I've ever seen. The text would probably take about 40 hours to read, through, longer if you take notes like you're supposed to. The art is serviceable and was commissioned from Japanese artists as far as I can tell. The soundtrack was licensed from other artists is excellent, e.g.
