You would never see square pixels with famicom games because the system's resolution didn't have a 4:3 ratio while the picture displayed on-screen had one, not because the human eye react the same way to CRT phosphor as a digital camera with obviously bad ISO parameters placed near the screen. The amount of blooming obviously depends on how big your TV is, how crappy it's mask was and if the on-screen color combinations was NTSC-friendly, but it was still possible to discern individual pixels on any non-garbage 1980s TV given how low the famicom's resolution was.
On top of that, using the way the NTSC video output of a famcom renders on an old TV as an exemple of how the RGB video output of a computer should render on a high-resolution SVGA monitor isn't a good idea.

Blue eyes represent humanity, red eyes are demonic and white/silver eyes are the equilibrium between both.

I think that's supposed to be red, Asai Genji just likes that twilight-like lighting. Her eye color is a bit redder in all his other depictions of her.
Reimu's eye color looks even redder in his style, but it's probably supposed to be brown here.

Genji Asai also had more freedom and less strict guidelines early on, like everybody. See: that blue-eyed Marisa. In canon, Marisa is ALWAYS golden-eyed, except in her first appearance (red) and when Genji Asai USED to draw her. Now, he consistently draws her with gold/yellow eyes.
