You basically use her 2nd spell to get some power and clear the waves with her first spell. Depending on how you manage your power, you can enter the final wave with more than 3 power.

Not exactly, but it is close enough that the difference is negligible. The quick reference table on the miraheze mechanics page covers the basic level info needed. Shit only slightly varies when dealing with Flan, and multiple levels of buff/debuff on both target and friend. Even then it is just a single rank of Eva Down/Acc up difference to reach 100% hit rate

She is one of the most recommended non-Fes friends in the Tower. Yin focused, self-buffing, good elemental spread, and crit based. Her focus inflicts and breaks blind. Her 1st passive is effective against the majority of enemies. Her 3rd passive has a great effect, decent proc rate, and good longevity.

For a friend that will eventually join the general gacha pool she is great.

Firstly, how do you acquire Fortune Dust? Firstly, any time you use God Crystals to Pray 10 times, you'll get 10 piles of Fortune Dust as a bonus. Secondly, you can also get some from events - every 5 Rare Points can be turned in for 1 pile of Fortune Dust. Kosuzu is the 4th ranked Destruction friend. 1st place is Marisa Alter, 2nd and 3rd are h*ckatia and Okina who are unreleased Fes friends. Her LW has elemental coverage on every bullet, has two elements, and is all targeting. She has high evasion/focus down buffing so she is hard as fuck to hit. If the enemy relies on status, she absorbs poison and blind and her damage scales massively with her crit based build.

Murasa has an all SC and LW. She is a haste friend like loliko and dark myon who are the only two haste friends ranked higher than her. She makes everyone go fast fast fast.

Kosuzu has Water on her 2nd SC and LW, but only her LW is all.

Yoshiko has all on bother SCs and LW, but she is a Defensive friend. Other than some poison, self buffs, the only utility she brings is a partywide yin def buff and an Earth def up.

Kogasa has one all SC. She is okay at self buffing, but it is pretty dependant on barrier statuses, so she is more kitted to work as a counter character.

Koishi has one all SC. She has a bunch of special bullet effects, so there is the potential for a lot of bonus damage, but it is a crapshoot and needs a lot of Pw to get the most out of her.

Suika if you have can work with a number of partners. The way I am running it is with two 2 friend teams and Lily in the 5th school slot. Suika and Ran in the first team, Marisa Alt and Myon in the second. Splitting my teams like this lets me allocate enough Yin and Yang Up cards to both teams so I don't have to waste time swapping. I run both teams until on the brink of exhausted, then I farm 6/1 in the event with Lily and whomever needs to be leveled.

Suika works best in a Yin team. Throw her in with a Yin Atk debuffer like Remilia. The extra ranks will stack and refresh. If you have Marisa Alt she also benefits from the Yin down.

On a tangent now that Kosuzu is available I will have to reevalute my default Yin party comp. Kosuzu works as a dodge tank despite how squishy she is. The money is in her kit though. Her crit based effects have the potential to stack very well with Marisa Alt's naturally high crit scaling. At 0Pw Marisa Alt has twice the crit rate of most friends. With her insanely rapid Pw growth it becomes even more apparent, as at 2Pw Marisa has 4x the standard crit rate with crit atk up procs on 3/4 bullets in both her spell cards. By combining Suika's acc buffs and def debuffs, with Kosuzu's crit eva debuffs, with Marisa's massive potential you could be looking at an incredibly potent team. All three boost their own Yin. Defensively Marisa's constant refreshing of Burn layers will potentially reduce the enemy Atk by 55%. Kosuzu's ability to dodge tank and absorb poison and blind, combined with Marisa's immunity to burn and freeze, means that she would draw the two biggest barrier statuses that would hinder this strategy to herself and become more potent in the process.

Obviously this isn't auto-run stuff, but thinking about how big the numbers could get and how fast they could do so tickles my autism. Can't wait to MLB Kosuzu and see her true potential.

I was discussing this a couple of threads ago, but if you ignore how shitty NextNinja and GoodSmile are as companies, the person who is designing the game mechanics and card lore themselves understands even the most autistic details of lore and fanon while paying homage to both parts.
For example there are only three characters in JP that carry the Hakurei-killer bullet effect.
Tenshi who dropped a colony on the shrine and nearly destroyed it
Toyosatomimi who sparked a religious war with the intent to destroy Shintoism
and Rumia

Literally no mention of why or even suggestion she had that killer buff unless you looked through each bullet of every shot, SC, and LW she has.

It is a tiny completely inconsequential detail that would only have been added by someone who truly and deeply loves everything about Touhou.
The gacha companies are scum, but hidden among them is at least one genuine fan. If you look at the broader scope you can see more and more of these details until it becomes clear. The people who actually are making the game love Touhou as much or more than you or I. The company publishing it and paying the likes of Gamepress to shill it don't care. The chance is actually fairly good it is Mima. Not 100%, but likely far better than you think it is.

So little nods like Rumia's Haikrei-killer bullet I appreciate. Under very specific terms and under specific points of view, they show a perception of Gensokyo that is true, but also an urban legend. Something created by rumor, that gained strength through belief, and became something to fear.

By the way Arizona sun is hot as fuck in the middle of summer. Sitting outside playing Touhou games, while discussing Touhou lore, and drinking with my employer's underage son may not have been the best idea. If you decide to keep rerolling, I'd recommend only doing the second forced roll if you you got Youmu as your guaranteed. It'll speed up the process of getting a good starting lineup.

Eirin has the highest health in the game which means she has the strongest % of heals. Her regular attack hits everyone with a chance to inflict shock. She has a passive to recover her own barriers and tanks like Yukari or Kanako can restore their own barriers. S+ tier in his heart, in reality Kosuzu is pretty nice but there are better options. She has decent water/wood breaks and hits hard with an AoE LW, but her piercing in her LW messes with her damage potential (to some degree, like only 2 bullets in her LW has piercing) since piercing not only ignores defense buffs but also defense debuffs and full break state. You may want some accuracy support paired with her, she doesn't have good accuracy in her LW as the standard for Destruction units.

My only knowledge about Full Break is that besides stunning the target and resetting its buffs/debuffs, the general defense (both yin/yang) of the character gets multiplied by 0.25 (10 levels of yin/yang defense down). Maybe the way it's coded is that it applies the respective 10 levels of defense down but it can't be seen. That's the omly reason i can think full break doesn't benefit shots with Piercing, i have no source other than the material hanging around in the

I am almost 100% certain that the calculations are worked for each bullet in the barrage seperately, and then the sum if your total damage. It wouldn't logically make sense for each bullet to be calculated with the two piercing bullets calculated with no defense modification, and then the sum to be recalculated as if every bullet had no defense modification.

I really really don't want to do this, but these threads have been plagued with almost deliberate misinformation from day one.

Yes, what you've said is correct. I assumed it was more common knowledge but it wasn't and i'm sorry for the confusion. But yeah it mostly hinders her farming potential in future events because her piercing is both on her 1st and 2nd shot, right now is ok because events still have enemies with low HP. But tl;dr she slaps shit up and she's good, nothing more to mention. If you can get Kaguya in the next banner, use the dolls on her but if not then Kosuzu is good enough.

The reason she is high ranked by the japs, and low ranked by discord/gamepress is because the Japs don't use her for farming. She is for the tower, and she is one of the most recommended non-super fes, non-fes friends. Not every character is for that. She slots into a number of team comps on a bunch of tower floors. Auto-farming isn't the whole game, it isn't even the fun part.

I really don't want to read advice on where to spend my dolls from a guy who doesn't even bother to learn the mechanics and take all his gaming advice from discord so he can learn to press auto to win.

Get out. Kosuzu doesn't pair up well with debuffers, specially since her strongest LW shots have piercing in it. Tower meta is about debuffing, and barrier breaking if no good debuffers are available in your collection since debuffs scale much better than buffs. when leveling during events, i do single boss stages and just use 1 farmer and 1 leveling unit behind it, if i have multiple i run it with multiple units until exhaustion.
so i have my 10 stamina unit for farming and a 5 stamina unit thats getting leveled

I usually look that all my units are maxed out in levels. So i can let the school run dry of food and just use my 5 slots for motivation restoration.

Every summoning experience I had in this game is so terrible. After 150 pulls, I always get a total of three friends: two of them are always fucking Youmu and Ran who are already MLB and the third is always a useless character like Sunny Milk or Reisen II. I NEVER get anything new. This is the only gacha game where all of my pulls are consistently shit.

so where do Kaguya and Eirin excel in? I checked their normal shots and they seem to have mediocre access to elements and their skills are nothing outrageous like Medicine's all poison or Reimu's barrier restoration

Kaguya seems to be about setting up her own Last Word with minimal outside help. She has a lot of self buffs and power gains.
I guess she also has a stalling niche in the tower since she has Metal on her focus shot and a lot of sustains.
Eirin has two heal skills with low cooldown and the best HP in the game. Overall a better healing than Sanae if you don't have Barrier issues. The two of them also have very different elemental weakness so you can pick whoever is the most suited to the situation.
Not sure about the LW because of awkward 1/1/3 Power progression and low power values, but it has piercing and buff her a lot.

Damn. I like Kaguya, and I'll spark her, but 150 rools and the only new friend is Remi. I was thinking that I'd get at least one of them and spark the other.
