People have their own favorite routes in Tsukihime but some are more clear favorites.
Arcueid and Akiha get the most exposure since they lead their respective halves of the game.
As for if it's better than Fate, it's totally up to you. If you like it already you should play Kagetsu Tohya and the Melty Blood games.

I think FSN is a masterpiece and is much better than Tsukihime. People don’t like KnK on here probably because of the Ryougi Shiki is a Mary Sue complaint. The girl killed herself because she was a hardcore christian and couldn't bring herself to get an abortion, so she had a mental breakdown and killed herself to get rid of the problem. For some reason they also cut the entire scene of Azaka and Kurogiri talking to each other, which deletes his entire character. Maybe done for runtime? the movie was pretty short though. There's entire lists and angry reviews about all the changes, it really boggles the mind.

It's up to you. Personally, I don't like strictly following a guide unless I need it after the fact (to get CGs and stuff). The main thing to know is if there's a recommended route order which for Tsukihime there absolutely is (Arc -> Ciel -> Akiha -> Hisui -> Kohaku; not debatable at all). I don't remember the exact requirements to get into the Ciel route, but I'm pretty sure you need to select several Ciel choices so on a typical blind first play the vast majority of people should end up in Arc (which has loose requirements).

There's some guy in here that does nothing but make awful posts and he's been at it for the last few threads. He’ll probably take a break and let the other writers decide if they want to make part 3 while doing events. It’s up to Nasu if he wants to continue with part 3. Each of the characters will be able to choose between 10 color variations, and you are able to freely customize each part with a palette of your choosing. Certain characters may have color variations that allow you to alter their designs!

Tsukihime Remake's Arc wearing a miniskirt. You are able to make her wear Kneesocks.

Even though Shiki will normally be wearing a school uniform, you are able to change the color variation into something more vibrant. His pants also has design color variations as well.

Each character will have detailed parts you will be able to color freely.

Hisui & Kohaku, joining as pairs!

Although individually shown as characters, they will (also) be joining as a pair in the game! Usually you will fight controlling one, but you will be able to swap them out during the battle. Additionally, you will be able to input commands to get support from the out-of-combat character.

Many different support attacks are available through a command input. This one is Kohaku using Hisui's support attack, "Bonds of Sisterhood - Winds and Clouds Edition".

Close range fighter Hisui, and mid to long range Kohaku. Swap the characters wisely depending on the situation.

"Bonds of Sisterhood - Basic Editon". Kohaku will support Hisui with a tricky attack as Hisui approaches linearly.

Hisui: In addition to using her speed to rushdown, she also using multitudes of projectiles and traps to fight.

Kohaku: Hidden blade inside the broom, and throwing molotovs from the air; many magical & chemical moves are the characteristics of this character.
