That's because Raiden had the largest budget of any space shooter and has tons of people working on it. Touhou games are worked on by ONE PERSON. ZUN does EVERYTHING, from the graphics, game play, music, etc. You need to be a little more grateful.

People just never actually learn that you need to dodge bullets in blocks I guess.
A lot of people I've talked to think Touhou is harder than Raiden or ikargua while I think it's the opposite.

Are you insane? Raiden is FAR easier than the Touhou series. I can pretty much 1 cc Raiden no problem, but I can get to barely stage 3 or 4 on Lunatic depending on the game.

I seriously enjoy them. But I have no way of knowing whether they're good in comparison to others since touhou is this most recent curtain fire game Ive played in a decade. Also Ive been trying to buy and play ikaruga for the gamce cube since Ive heard it's like touhou but a million times better but it's expensive on eBay.

But still touhou is a doujin game done by a drunkard so drunk he's breath makes others drunk, we're not expecting expert level stuff from a sober team of guys.
