Why did they name their pet after the one, who betrayed Lunar nation by escaping to the Earth? What were they thinking?

Reisen's owners, despite their positions, are not the Lunar military force. She abandoned each of them in a different fashion.
To the Wakatrolli sisters she was just a runaway pet.
To the Lunar military she went AWOL costing the lives of her allies.

Which one?

No, you have to be a bit more specific.

Are we talking about the Imperial Lunar Army? The Imperial Lunar Navy? Their subdivisions?

>FTL Travel

Known commonly as Red-Shift. Energy and mass increases to nearly phenomenal levels, enough to crush the most massive Lunar Battleship like a tin can if it weren't for the deflectors.

The velocity at which the vessels in the Red Zone travel are such that everything on the outside appears to be tinted red - hence the name.

The three ordinary dimensions of space are combined with a single dimension of time to form a four-dimensional manifold for representing a spacetime.

Yes, I have finally worked that bit out.

1. They are lazy and all rabbits look the same to them
2. Both rabbits escaped the moon, a Reisen went and the second returned. Call her Mohammed.
3. Why didn't they just call her by her REAL name. Rabbits do have names, right?

Time Dilation is definitely an effect here. It is not -meant- to be a means of which one travels through time, but a side effect.

Arc can't we just think with portals and forget this whole "accelerating to incredible speeds to get to places" thing?

>> No.3556059

Why the hell would the Lunarian militia need faster than light travel?

Even near light travel would be JUST FINE, since they're a solar system-based entity.

Indeed, so it is really a moot point given how long people live up there.

I have also been working out the schematics and armament of the staple Troop Insertion/Close Air Support/Armor Carrier vehicle.

Official designation: Transport/Heavy Ordnance[THOR, first few letters of each word]Dropship.

Armament:

2X High Energy Laser Cannons[Mounted in turrets at the sides, manned by one bunny soldier each, enough power to penetrate a standard deflector shield in two hits. Can punch through reinforced armor in one.]
2X Concussion Missile Launchers[Mounted on the wings, controlled by the Pilot, fires Guided Concussion Missiles that produce a shockwave upon impact with the target. A true fire-and-forget weapon - all the pilot needs to do is lock on and fire.]
2X Light Plasma Repeaters[Chin-mounted, below the cockpit. Controlled by the pilot. Used generally to mow down infantry. The equivalent of a machine gun.]

The THOR also has a bomb bay, enabling it to deliver a payload within an hour of the order being given.
It is powered by two Subsonic Engines, and has fully automated control surfaces - responding instantly to any input from the pilot.
The Neural-Network-Interface completes the suite of tools available to the bunny pilots, allowing the pilot to integrate with the THOR's Artificial Intelligence Systems.
The dropship can then relay important information to the pilot and assist the pilot in navigational mathematics, ammo counting, and flightpath/trajectory calculations.

It can carry a full platoon of Bunny soldiers into the front lines. Or it could carry a tank. Or it could drop supplies. Or it can simply provide close air support and lay down heavy suppressing fire so that the troops can advance.

More like 'entering a different dimension where spacetime is an tangible concept in order to reach incredible speeds that would be physically impossible in Realspace'.

>Why the hell would the Lunarian militia need faster than light travel?

The reasons become self-evident once you realize that FTL is a necessary requirement for any sort of sustainable space travel.

Secondly, the Lunarians have a large amount of things that could be considered unnecessary already. Why the need for soldiers? Why the need for the Lunar Defense Corp? Why the need for such extremely powerful weaponry[as seen in SSIB]when they are a serene planetary nation?

We could go on like this for a while. Anyway, here's another tidbit - FTL traderoutes are one of the ways the Lunar economy supports itself.
