But there's no reason why Oyu couldn't be the vocalist or secondary violinist rather than having to pick up something entirely new to her. If anything, that just shows how the higher-ups either were unaware, or ignored, the existing strengths/capabilities of the band members they had gotten. In Popipa/Roselia's case they were "voice actresses who could play instruments" but with the taste of instant gratification that The Third/RAS gave at being "musicians who could probably do voice acting" someone decided to try and replicate the concept to... the kind of result we are seeing from Morfonica now.

Amane's most obvious weakness and disadvantage is how unskilled she is with using her voice, both in singing and in voice acting. Her characters all sound the same even though, say, Mashiro and Akari have different personalities that are conveyed through their choice of words and their manner of speech/actions.

Out of all the Bandori vocalists, Amita and Raychell are the ones who didn't really have formal voice acting training, but they were able to transfer over techniques used for singing. It's common to see how technically strong singers like Raychell or Kadoyama Youko can, for example, pitch their voice differently or alter their intonation to do impressions (Raychell's Seta Kaoru impression is hilarious because it's so accurate). And in the case of actresses who do live-action more than/as much as voice acting (see: a significant part of Assault Lily's cast outside Hitotsuyanagitai), they also have transferable skills to make roles distinct from each other, like Awatsu Mai's takes on Raimu, Yuzuriha, and Mirai who all act and sound unique.

Putting a vocalist unskilled at using her voice front and center makes the rest of the band worse off.
