I don't see where you get off saying Japan treated it's POWs the worst. Surely they were the most publicized, but Germany didn't just gas people all day, they conducted all kinds of experiments such as taking organs out of one twin and seeing if it would affect the other, and so on. By twentieth century standards, Japan played ball pretty fair.

Even the United States killed civilians, our soldiers weren't exactly saints like Band of Brothers or the other myriad media representation of World War 2 would have you know. They don't teach that kind of thing in schools, like the firebombing of Dresden, and they usually only give passing mention to the firebombing and subsequent nuking of civilian Japanese cities.

Don't fool yourself into a black-and-white notion of war. There aren't any angels.
