I started playing Eight Views and I'm really liking cute little Maricha.
I've gotten it used to the toilet, but it's still too dumb to pass the bronze badge exam.
My only complaint is that the game feels really slow, does that change when you have more money/yus?

Some scientific research about a phenomenon known as "Cute Aggression" just showed up on my radar. As I was reading into it, numerous light bulbs started flashing in my head. It explains so much about what we already know about the differences between the yukkuri abusers and yukkuri lovers brain. The Amygdala! It is also heavily involved in the reaction to cuteness and is involved in reward processing for behavioral responses. If you have an underdeveloped amygdala, you are more vulnerable to cuteness overload which activates an aggressive response wherein you want to attack, hurt or destroy the source of the cuteness.

Why do we get so much yukkuri abuse art–it's because they have an underdeveloped amygdala. Cute Aggression and the brain chemistry involved explains it all.

I like to think it's because it reinforces that the yu's are just fat blobs of manjuu that can talk that also have the mindset of human babies. And for some reason, when a yu poo-poos or pee-pees, it's much cuter than a regular being - since it's all just sugar water and bean paste.

Most of them, however, would probably not like it, for a variety of reasons. The idea of what's essentially a talking steamed bun challenging them or the fact that they look like them, and their believers getting yukkuri versions of them rather than paying their spirits their due attention. I imagine youkai like Ran or the scarlet sisters, and definitely even a Human like Marisa, would go as far as kill them on sight.

We got a live one lol. IIRC, the underdeveloped amygdala topic was brought up on another board months ago specifically citing people's reaction to anime (not just moe btw). Despite Ron Paul's best efforts, Anime is not real, nor does it depict real people, yet reactions to it differ greatly with some of the most negative coming from oversocialized people. The "get along with everyone" mentality and behavior affects brain development and surely the amygdala, which controls/influences primal emotional responses, would be underused and undeveloped. I'd wager that people with properly developed amygdalas would react to a video of a puppy being killed with a similar (but not exactly proportional) to seeing a depiction of the same thing happening, like in vidya, movies, drawing etc. You can always hide behind the caveat of depictions of violence or depraved behavior as being "not real" but at the end of the day, unless you've been desensitized, you should have an appropriate emotional response. Also, in most media, violence is usually directed at a bad actor or opposing force which is something humanity has had to deal with, and build instinct around, forever.

The difference between your video game analogy is that VG villains often have the means and willingness to hurt you to advance their goals. Yukkuris cannot hurt you, and are a bigger threat to themselves than they could ever be to you. They are essentially helpless - so the better analogy would be where a video game where you commit war crimes against an enemy that's long-lost the ability to fight back.

How can anyone take someone who seems to not just somewhat enjoy Yukkuri abyuse, but rather seems to take unhealthy pleasure in it and gets angry in comments sections when it's either not present or insufficient, as being anything other than a maladjusted individual at best, and mentally deficient at worst? Because normal people would pity even shitheads, and feel sick at the sight of abyuse. Just as if it were fictional depiction's of animal abuse because Yukkuri are small animals and pets.

You should learn to take it easy anon~ Wholesome Yukkuri art showing them doing lick-licks and dancing and singing, and the occasional happy pee/poo, are what normal people would find easy~

I don't understand how so many touhou fans could hate yukkuris that way that they do. They're really not at all different from small animals, except that they talk an are arguably even cleaner. They don't have much in the way of disease, and their "dirty habits" are literally just sugar water and old bean paste. Hell, 99% of the time they're about to poo-poo they go into a song and dance about it, so you could just pick them up and put them on a piece of paper.

And their shitheadedness? They could be trained away like any other animal. But the abyuse fans are so mentally ill and misanthropic that the way they can depict Yukkuris is by having them all be shitheads so they can conveniently explain away their excessively violent art.

There'a a reason OYP doesn't allow abyuse-lovers to post hateful comments under FF pictures and doesn't allow yukkuri-lovers to call abyusers assholes under cruel and sadistic ones: to filter out this kind of unnecessary and never-ending discussion. You're supposed to be taking it easy and letting others take it easy, yet you call your fellow yukkuri enthusiasts losers/weirdos on a Vietnamese manjuu-baking forum (which is rather hypocritical, since you're also here).

Isn't it the biggest expression of being unable to take it easy by constantly hoping for and wishing for yukkuri abuse and death? And let's not kid ourselves, even the mods over at OYP heavily favour the abusive faction of the yukkuri community, as they'll use any reason they can to remove the FF tags on posts, allowing the eternally uneasy to flood in and express anger at the "abuse" not being to their liking. Seriously, there was a series which depicted the daily life of Yukkuri, but the mods deemed it necessary to remove the FF tag because, in one sentence, it depicted a parent Yukkuri picking up and throwing a koyukkuri to stop it from foolishly wondering into an area with heavy predator activity. Abyusers thing flooded the comments demanding the artist (who was really just doing crude art to depict the walls of text) show a scene where someone flooded their tunnel with petrol and setting it alight. They only begrudingly added a "vanilla" tag to things between FF and abuse after the non-abyuse faction started complaining about this type of behaviour. And taking away the FF tag because something displays a Yukkuri doing cute pees and poos? Seriously?

It's because, as far as Touhou goes, Reimu and Marisa are the easiest to write for. Their motivations are simple, their lore is simple, and you're not stuck having to learn the long backstories and eccentricities of various characters in developing them. And since the Yuus take after their normal counterparts in character and personality, it stands that Maricha and Reimyu would be the easiest to depict as Yuus.

Like with most things, at some point you will "want more". There is very little creative room left for FF stuff as far as just cute pictures go. Adding in other aspects of life into yukkuri stories that aren't just about them taking it very easy makes these stories easier to steer into a direction not seen before for the hundredth time.
And, like I previously said, indeed, there are weirdos on OYP, and they have very old posts under abuse pictures that are downvoted to hell, are never interacted with in a positive way and are low-quality enough to cause second-hand embarassment.
OYP is not exactly a huge place too, I've never seen extensive discussions of ways of better abyuse, I don't understand why you'd blame its creation. That, and check the latest announcement on the comment policy change.

Consider the following. Yukkuris can:
>Move under their own power.
>Know how to manipulate objects and use tools.
>Capable of limited abstract thought.
>Aware of their own existence
>Capable of independent activity
>Can be trained
>Can eat and "digest" food
>Capable of reproduction.
>Capable of understanding speech and writing
>Have various breeds and subtypes that they're able recognize witg different abilities.
>Have a strong survival instinct.
>Capable of processing emotion
>Capable of both short- and long-term memory
>Capable of social interactions

If that doesn't show that it has enough physical and mental ability to atleast be recognized as a living creature on par with animals (in universe), then I'm not sure what will. If that's still not enough for you to realize that their abuse is the same as animal abuse, then it's probably not too much of a reach to say you're just looking for any excuse to abuse something. I see a lot of images where people/other Yukkuri can casually pick up even full-sized adult Yukkuris. What gets me is that with these things are filled with various fillings like yakitori or red bean paste and stuff like that.

In a manjuu or even just simple bread, you can tell that the inner material is quite dense, and the bread itself is quite dense. If full-sized Yukkuris are supposed be as big as basketballs or volleyballs, and they all have the same dough exterior, inner filling with a dense paste core, and various accessories made of hardened sugar as well as hair made of similar material, all of which are very dense in a hardened form - wouldn't even koyukkuris be considerably heavy? There's no way an adult Yukkuri doesn't weigh the same as a small child, and most people would be hard-pressed to carry one for a long time with extended arms.

>> No.35435033

>>35434928
For example, if you go to a conbini like Lawsons or 7-11 and buy a steamed pork bun, it's surprisingly heavy for something that's merely the size of your palm. If you were to put it in a box that isn't properly made, it'll fall out the bottom the moment you pick it up from the counter. If you attempt to hold it from one end, you'll see that the weight of the filling causes the dough to rupture and fall to the ground. Yukkuris can't be very light at all if they're essentially animated versions of these.

Their skin's probably relatively thicker compared to a real manjuu, which is probably why they can hope around and fall a small distance without immediately splitting apart. Plus it's all proportional, isn't it? it's not like their filling is increasing in size but their skin isn't

And I image they probably are a bit heavy as an adult, but apparently you can pick up a ko and put it on your fingertips (or maybe I'm just thinking of mini-yuus?) so they must not be that heavy.

The thread's been derailed long ago, anon. The fact is that after more than a fucking decade the ONLY website we have to access easy Yukkuri pictures is One Yukkuri Place, and to get to any decent art you constantly have to dig through pages upon pages of abuse. It's all quite sickening and you'd think we'd have this shit sorted out already. Now OYP is on death's door and has no admin team to run it, so when it goes we essentially lose everything we haven't already saved because they sure as hell won't repair it, and the schzoid edgelords that shit up the comments with overly specific ways to torture and kill Yuus sure as hell can't.

Why not use this time to finally made an easy place for non-abyuse art? Aren't you tired of getting sneered at by other 2hufags because whenever they hear "Yukkuri" all they can think about is how every-time they see a Yukkuri art, all they see in the fucking comments is "That piece of shit scum deserved to die, all Yukkuri deserve to die" from mentally unhinged, uneasy freaks?

Sugar-heavy sources of food and drink may also drive recovery of Yukkuri injuries. The sugar is metabolized after eating into its constitution sugars, and reformed as needed. Excess sugars will be then excreted in its urine or its fecal deposits.

A Yukkuri's accessory need not be its original accessory, either. Replacement accessories will be accepted by Yukkuris, or even functionally similar objects will be co-opted by Yukkuris on an as-needed basis to perform the same task and/or form a similar appearance.

I second this. I had some friends give their darling baby wasu reimu's some nice "WR" custom sweaters to denote their unique status. They were such good Yuus and listened to every word, if were a bit too energetic. Still obedient, though.

Unfortunately, they might've been smarter than their owners. My friends left them in their sweaters as they went over overnight, and when they returned in the morning, they had already died from wasting away in their own poop and urine for so long.

As baby and even koyukkuri have trouble or cannot clean up after themselves after doing mister pee or mister poo, it's up to you clean them up! If you don't, they suffer illness or even die!

The best way for you to do this is with a nice clean, and probably damp, cloth. If you are feeling particularly close with your Yukkuri and want to further increase your bond, I recommend you do lick-lick. It may seem disgusting from the words used, but keep in mind that pee and poo are simply urine and day-old bean paste, respectively. Parent Yuus will do this for their little ones, and you can too as you've taken the role of "Parent Yukkuri." If you do easy lick-lick, then you will definitely gain admiration from the yukkuri for doing such an easy thing and they will more than definitely be appreciative of it!

And congratulations on your easy Patchy! They're so cute.

Does painless euthanasia count as 'abuse'?

I mean, reincarnation is confirmed to exist in Gensokyo. We'd just be transferring their souls to a body that isn't a useless abomination against all that is holy.

>> No.35464978

>>35464907
No, painless euthanasia is not abuse. Abuse is simply unwarranted violence against Yukkuris, particularly by Humans. Any violence happening against Yukkuri, by Humans, for no cause or for reasons in-which the response is blatantly overkill is abuse.

There are stories where a Human might perform a painless euthanasia of a baby Yuu because it'll grow up a shithead and will live a pitiful life as uneasy abyusive Humans will adopt shitheads for the express purpose of abuse and/or food.

That is not abuse. Abuse is a Human kicking a Yuu across the room and burning its Mister Feet with a lighter because it let out a happy pee at the wrong time or perhaps did a playful Puff-Puff. See the difference?

Abyuse is only associated with Yuus because you, and your friends, have created an environment that causes the rest of the Touhou community to think we're all a bunch of developmentally-deficient idiots that are a easy hop and skip away from abusing RL animals.

And it isn't going anywhere? Is that way OYP is on life-support right now and not one of you idiots is stepping up to save it or provide a replacement? Because you want to save your staple?

Why are premature and koyukkuri so cute? Is it their slurred speech compared to their adult counterparts? Their tendency to poo and pee where they stand, and licking each other clean?

Is their easy declarations to take it easy immediately upon birth, or their eerily similar catchphrases (upon birth) from their normal Touhou counterparts?

And why can't I have real-life Yukkuri?

I understand it anon, ko's are the cutest! They're adult enough to kind of speak but not so grown that they do the full-sentences of adults!

I'd say limit the amount of sweet-sweets you give her. Giving her sweet-sweets too often will result in her becoming spoiled, as you can see the gif you posted. Cut her some slack anon - anyone would become uneasy if someone literally had food dangled right in-front of them, but out of reach. Even the most well-trained dogs will become irritated if they're made to set next to food they'd be eating.

And besides, if she only associates sweet-sweets as being a nice post-meal desert, then I think she'll eat normal Mister Food easy. Hell, she may not even think of eating sweet-sweets unless she first eats Mister Food.

I, for one, LOVE when my Wasa begs for sweet-sweets! She doesn't do it often, but when she does - she's REALLY loud about it. I even took her out to a restaurant once, and when she saw a nice cheesecake, she cried for minutes until the waitress finally brought it to our table (free of charge!)

Turns out she didn't really like the cheesecake for some reason. She felt fairly deflated after being so excited by something but disappointed when getting it, an experience we an all relate to, so I bought her some ice cream and she seemed pretty satisfied. I like to tease and tell her that I'll get her sweet-sweets, but only if she does certain Mister Work for me. That way, Wasa Reimu can appreciate it more!

I really wish they did. But they'll probably look more like that ko in the above gif - have a body that shifts constantly from approximately sphere to an oblong body depending on body position and age. They'd probably have smaller, beadier eyes than depicted in art, but I imagine their mouth might be about as big, since they can easily morph their body in various shapes.

Their voice would probably be of a higher pitch, and they'd smell like sugar. Any place they may have pooped or pissed in would probably smell strongly of sugar, if not a bit stale.

Their accessories would have to be relatively stiffer than expected due to their utilitarian use as well as being made from a harder form of various sugars. Their seminal fluid and marumaru excretions would be a thicker mix of water and paste. And they'd range in size from a golf ball to a volleyball, if not bodied.

No, Wasa's are very proud and boastful Yuns. But they're not necessarily shitheads. There is a difference.

The relationship would be reciprocal, I do clean-clean for Wasa-chan and give her sweet-sweets (but only if she eats all of her Mister Food!) I also make sure that I do a good amount of rub-rubs and prepare her own easy Mister Food and easy place.

In-return, Wasa-chan goes on regular exercise walks, she undergoes badge-training (both for my benefit as well as hers), and provide me with a loving companion. Her training will allow her to perform clean-clean herself when I'm not around, but only I will perform clean-clean when I'm home!

Wasa-chan's can be very easy Yukkuri, if not a bit on the braggart side. But I love my Yukkuri, and if a hat I have to wear for her is to its clean-clean slave, then that's just how it has to be!

I like how artists help you differentiate the buris from the normal Yukkuri, considering that some artists don't really do a good job at making the accessories sufficiently smaller, so they end being literally-retarded but normal looking Yukkuri.

Take these three Yukkuri. Look at the Wasa - she has her characteristic pride and, as some may call it, arrogance. She has a clear spark behind her eyes, as she works tirelessly for the life she believes she deserves.

But the Bu-Yukkuri? There's nothing. You have the eye and the pupils. No spark of pride of the Wasa's, or the cunning of Marisa, or the kindness of Patches. They're happy, but dead eyes. The lights are on, but nobody's home.

I would really enjoy seeing an adult Buri. Even if this isn't sufficient to correct the developmental deficiency of the Buri, shouldn't one be further obligated to take care of it?

It doesn't have the "bad traits" that are characteristic in some of Yukkuri's in the abyuse doujin, as it is literally in-capable of being a shithead OR a nicehead. It's about as blank of a Yukkuri as one could get, and the accessories are redundant. If there was a Yukkuri that should be immune from suffering, shouldn't this be it?

Otherwise, we imply that developmentally-stunted creatures are all inferior to their normal counterparts...

Abuse loses some of its meaning when the thing you're abusing can't even register that you're abusing it. It'd probably just think pain came out of nowhere and adjust to get away from it, but there won't be any "wwhhhhyyyyyy".

It might be like that one wasa doujin where it turns out that in nature they never survive to adulthood, and only a really dedicated human hobbyist can prolong their lifespan to adulthood.

The fact is that there are many things that would never last a week in the wild, but we love them so much we take care of them, allowing them to live to years, decades even.

But what happens in nature is kind of irrelevant when it comes to wishing to raise something, isn't it? I doubt you have to particularly dedicated, but merely have to take the task seriously in raising a buri, since you're taking care of a an easy baby Yukkuri...who will always retain the mentality of an easy baby Yukkuri.

As for Wasa's, that's the point, isn't it? They may not be cut out for nature, and hell their line may be a direct result of Human intervention in creating an ideal pet Yukkuri. Just as some Humans like dogs with equal parts loyalty and attitude, who will do what you say but give you scuff for it, there'll always be Yukkuri lovers, like myself, who will want to take care of a Wasa. I've even said before that I'd even be willing to do clean-clean with Wasa's, among other things, while training them to be good Wasa's.

My suspicion is that their sugar fueled biology means that you would just give them a cookie one day and they would be normal.

That would actually be a funny story, a guy going out of his way to raise an adult buri and then one day he accidentally gives it too much sugar and it just becomes normal.

I guess that could work, but I always though their power of belief comes from them genuinely thinking about, and believing, a certain thing.

But, what if the don't think? Buri are as abscent-minded as you get for a Yun. If a Yun told a Buri to go get "x", the Buri may or may not walk to x and then just stand there, not understanding what else to do, before it dies if not attended to. Or literally piss/shit itself to death.
