I would like to spend time with her and let her enjoy the life she has left before she has to reincarnate again. She spends most of her time writing the Chronicle, and barely any of it being alive.

It must be sad to be Akyuu, she knows implicitly that any connections she makes with other humans will be temporary, and is still burdened by not being able to forget about them. The peaceful Gensokyo must be a relief to her because at least she can have a prolonged relationship with youkai and other immortals that won't be cut short.

That’s a pretty recent development considering she was quite surprised human-youkai relationships have gotten friendly, when she was first told such by Reimu and Yukari.

Which track does the channel 3 split? Not many games made for the OPNA use that feature in my opinion, I can't think of any from the top of my head (that's not OPN only). Back around HSiFS release I used to rationalize how it wouldn't be unrealistic for Reimu to not seriously change her looks with the passing of time. From what I remember, she should be about the same age as Akyuu, who was born in 1994. Reimu would be a little kid in pc-98 era, about 8 during EoSD and, since the in-game art is ambiguous and mediocre enough, her depictions in later games can reasonably fit her until about mid 20s.
But that headcanon shit of mine certainly wouldn't hold on now, as a few more years packed onto that theory stretch the believability too thin.

Characters not aging is the same as them always wearing the same clothes. It doesn't change because that's part of what defines the character.

You could imagine a headcanon where time works differently in Gensokyo but in the end it's just one of those things in fiction where you know it doesn't makes any sense but you don't think too much about it because it doesn't have to make sense after all.
