I would say the general concensus, or the rating of London Hearts went up after Sayu was featured?!? She got invited to 2 other times. I think MM needs an image change, maybe cater more to girls around their own age versus being ~*idol-ey*~. They can still be cute and fun but it would be nice to see them push the boundaries a little more as far as music and lyric go.


But Tsunku loves that whole "girl next door suddenly becomes famous" thing so they will always be watered down until some girls in MM go solo (ala Maki/GAM with their "sexy" images) or leave UFA and find a new agency.

lol I think so, it's the only one I have from that specific shoot, so I don't know for sure...

MM has already had an image change. Compare stuff made in the past year to stuff made 5-6 years ago and it's an entirely different group. We get impatient here because we rabidly follow every single, every PV, every news clipping, but out in the real world it takes time for changes to make an impact. And too many changes too quickly is probably worse than no change at all -- it leaves you with all of the stigma of your old image but none of the fanbase. So IMO they should keep going with what they've got, more or less, and just polish off the rough edges

Like what's said above, they already had a (subtle) image change.
Their songs this year have been different from the ones in the past.
Granted, this song is questionable but I don't think they necessarily need to do anything much more drastic for now.

But in the end, they ARE idols so they can't really turn them into Korean-girl-groups or avex-like groups.
