Pretty much anyone that browses 4chan knows what Touhou is (excluding normalfag tourist magnets like /pol/ and /b/, of course). They aren't nessecarily autistic about it, but they're aware of its existence and of some basic info. And before you say it doesn't matter just cause "it's 4chan, duh", keep in mind this site had become mainstream since 2013.
Outside of 4chan, anyone who is slightly interested in Japanese games also knows what it is. Twitter, Discord and other popular sites are also filled with people with Touhou profile pics.

If Reimu got in smash there would be a lot of new people but all of them would be introduced to Touhou as a bullet hell game first and foremost. I see it as a tradeoff where you would get lots of people actually playing and talking about the Touhou GAMES, but you would also have to deal with a lot of "The Dark Souls of Japanese gaming" type comments.
My main hope would be that Reimu is a unique character with high potential but is too much of a glass cannon to be top tier, depending on how faithful Sakurai wants to be it would be hilarious if her hitbox was only a couple pixels in smash.

You don't need to "think" to use use flashcards.
I actually used kanji tree instead of anki (i learned all the JLPT kanji).
Doing kanji only reps is great if you're a brainlet, cuz can do reps in the transport, during your meals, in the bank, before bed, etc... cuz it takes really low mental effort to just swipe a card

Just focus in repeating them again and again and again...., no secret techniques or methods just hard memory.
