When I first stumbled on the Kig hobby, my impression was "this is really weird". But I kept lurking and looking at pictures and finally realized that it is actually brilliant. It is cross-dressing that works! It allows any man (that isn't obese) to really look like a cute and/or sexy (cartoon) girl! Compare that to Eddie Izzard. It's revolutionary. Today's kigs might be pioneers.

Kig is using modern technology to give people freedom to explore their appearance without radical surgery, hormones, and other permanent changes. And it seems to me that it is just beginning.

Imagine what might be possible for kigs in the near future. Imagine a kig mask with a voice modulator of some kind that allows the person to dial in the feminine voice they want? That seems very possible. And if the hobby grows, the selection of mask styles and other accessories will expand with it.
