Yeah, I remember that when I was shopping for one I saw a lot people complaining about them on older models.
Mine is slightly smaller than a fullsize keyboard (Eee 1000HE) but it doesn't require much adjustment and I don't get cramps despite having fairly large hands.
Nevertheless, it certainly isn't a bad idea to try it out, whatever model you plan on buying.
