I was able to take on most monster at lv 23 with a lv 14 vates as partner, advancing slowly and trying to take on one enemy at the time.

Mocks are the most annoying monsters, Earth Fissure deals a lot of damage, around 100 to me being a vit fencer and it's an area spell, so unequip any pet.

Should be easy with a party lv 25-30

Not really. Of these 3 vates only 1 has level over 10, and one of the others is my alt who i probably will not play much, so ill leave the ring with him when more slots are be needed. This leaves the ring with actual 1.5 vates, which isnt really all that many.

PROTIP: Don't bother rolling anything other than a mage, this whole game is having a mage possess someone who runs around a certain mob in a circle while the mage blasts them with the same spell until it dies. Repeat for hours upon hours of tedium.

Most Open Beta's wipe characters, at least from my experience. Then again I only really play pay-to-play games like FFXI etc so I'm not really sure about these types of games. The most recent addition to this was Aion that wiped your characters after a decent open beta time period. Warlock is shit. Dual class that really lacks on both ends.

Mages are best off going Wizard (stable damage on everything) or Shaman (elemental, must know weaknesses/resistances) for damage, and Vates is pretty much in a class by itself.

Warlock is an endgame class-- then again PvP in Emil is a joke. Just pick whatever looks fun to you. Shaman is arguably the fastest leveler (level 30-40 in a day) but a backpacker class is probably more fun in the long run.

Wizards can level anywhere there are monsters around their level. Shamans are the ones who are limited by elemental weaknesses.

Grinding itself gets more fun as time goes on, and there are a few fun things to do at high levels.

PvP is an option, but don't expect anything amazing.

I tried playing this and managed to derive a mathematical equation that fully describes how great of a game this is.

I consider this game to be a cross between ragnorok and gaia online. from here we add in the people from /jp/ playing this game which seems to consist of mostly touhou players/fans.

Thus ECO = (Faggotry x Faggotry^2) + touhou fags/ /jp/
ECO = Faggotry^3 + Everything wrong with /jp/
ECO = Cancer

Lag has to do with their horrible server not having enough bandwidth to service even half of the clients. Which is why you get to actually play every 10 minutes when the server decides it's about time you got a packet or two. Given my track record with Malaysian games, I don't expect this will ever be fixed.

Between this and gameguard randomly freezing the game and/or my computer, I really had enough. Shame, it was a fun game too.

I spent three hours collecting the Giant Barley Straw, and felt like a fool when I found out it could have taken two minutes!

The best map to search is Fareast Main Street, one more east of the Forest most people search through.

On the map, there are two types of barley plants. There is a Giant Barley Grass plant, and a Giant Barley plant. The Giant Barley Grass plant grows in patches in the farm, and does not drop Giant Barley Grass.
The Giant Barley plant grows around the rest of the map randomly, and drops the Giant Barley Grass Straw frequently.

Good luck to all future farmers ; ) also you do not lose the Giant Barley Straw when you take the farmer job, so you can jump start would-be farmer friend!

Thinking of playing this. Before I get too in depth on gathering information about this game's mechanics I would like to first satiate my unjustified esthetic quirks.

I've looked at most jobs and none of them look too appealing. Emphasis being on "look". How customizable is my appearance in this game? I've read up on equipment fusion, so I know it's possible to have whatever item I want have whatever stats I want, but I'm wondering if I could, say, keep the general appearance of an item and change its color using dyes for example. This is mentioned on the wiki, if I understood correctly, I must color the items before combining them, could somebody confirm or deny this? One last thing, official art is one thing, but is there a dump of what classes actually look like in the game itself somewhere? Or is the appearance entirely dependent on items and all classes look the same without any gear on?
