What's your level of education firstly?

Secondly, what environments do you feel most comfortable in, and how could this translate to work environments?

Thirdly, and the only basic advice I can offer at the moment, start to do odd jobs around the house. That attic that needs cleaning? Clean it. The grass needs cutting? Cut it. The furniture needs polishing? Polish it. Also, work out a basic timetable in your head (anything too formal and you won't follow it) so you can at least make part of your day into a structured productive one. This will help when you finally transition into employment, it will also make that time that you *do* have to play VNs, watch anime, read manga etc, more enjoyable.

It's not always the best option but without a college degree your options aren't that good to begin with. Free place to live, free health and dental and a built in savings plan (you tend to not spend lots of money when overseas...) make it a useful place for someone to be. Not to mention that now I'm out and going to college, I bring in a total of $1,612 a month without having to have a job.

All in all, it was a good move for me. Don't make the same mistake I made though, the infantry is not the place to be unless you're just die hard for that sort of thing. Get a technical job and ride your certifications and training to a civilian world equivalent.

Tours of Iraq are 15 months long. In many ways the army is much easier to deal with than real society, even so I wouldn't recommend it. Even if you live there is a very high risk of hearing loss, damage to your body, mental illness, and other problems that you don't often read about.

To be honest, it depends on where you end up in Iraq and/or Afghanistan. Where I was, we pooled together a bunch of guys from my company and bought a satellite off the economy and had him hook it up, then we bought a 32 port switch and divied it out. Fast it was not but it was more than enough to dick around on an imageboard.
