Well quick glance shows that its on EA in steam and it seems to be based on koikatsu or atleast character maker screen seems identical so safe to say there is some form of compatibility someday, but there is lots of plugins and mod stuff in koikatsu which will most likely not be compatible with VKatsu since if clothing is not existing in VKatsu, its obviously wont carry over, also it seems VKatsu is completly non lewd so that's also on downside from koikatsu. Good to note also that steam version of koikatsu is censored and have less content than japanese version, which probably will be the case with VKatsu aswell, but that's just my two cents, i have not used VKatsu and dont know if it have modding scene or compatibility with Koikatsu characters which is unlikely atleast for now since its on EA.

General idea is to sculpt the form with "gradients". Darkest part meets lightest part on the edge between most lit and shaded surfaces.
There's tons of nuance for different materials of course, but just rendering the form with surfaces can go a long way.
Drawing outline of shaded ares that don't get direct light will also help a lot.

Stick to normal proportions and you'll be able to differentiate yourself. Takorin style artwork commonly sticks to 'absurd' proportions- large thighs, etc.

Writing is a little weird. Writing something once is okay, a short story even, but when it gets to actually fleshing out the story and later ending it, that's where things are less straight forward when you take into account whatever goal the author may have in mind.
It varies person to person. Some may see the story going off into the deep end, some may see a better way to handle how the characters interact, how a situation unfolds, etc. People want a good story, but reading and writing are one in the same, yet different. After some time, you will fatigue and eventually become stuck as you try to recapture an element or feel, or maybe how you felt at the time when you wrote something.
That's just me. Take my opinion on the subject with a grain of salt.

Personally I would try to increase the distance between them and the angle they point out from the center a little.
The trick I've learned to make things look really nice is to try and make them look perky by messing around with weight and using the advanced bonemod stuff to rotate them some fraction of a value upward. Before that, they looked way more synthetic, which was kind of what I disliked.

They will look really weird if you put too much distance between them but i guess there is some room for that and i guess there is some tricks which would improve the shape but i consider breasts shaping to be really easy, trying to make muscular body is fucking hell compared to shaping boobs, especially hands or shoulders. Slowly improving, started fiddling with timeline stuff too.

They do look weird with too much distance, but that's why I tried to go with decent reference. Really, it should just avoid looking like a crack and then it'll be okay. I haven't made many with musculature myself, but I would also consult reference somewhat if you wanna try that. Both some real-life examples and some anime examples.

With the advanced bonemod thing I mentioned earlier, I think you're supposed to rotate the 1st or 2nd bone (not 0 or 3) slightly upward to create the effect that they're drooping just a little.

I can't speak for others but I personally tend to feel that drawings tend to be made to be shown to others and express something that the creator wanted to share, while writing tends to be more personal to the author and embody ideas they wish to express that appeal to themselves without concern for others. That is it tends to just feel like a poor fanfiction or fetish if it's about something that exists and for some reason unoriginality is felt more in writing than it is in drawing. I feel like people will defend copying in drawing as referencing, or with excuses like there being only so many poses, while with writing people won't defend plagiarism and only offer "there's nothing new under the sun" as a defense at best. With drawing if you make an exact replica of something, even an exact replica of another artwork, it'll be considered amazing, whereas if you were to write a perfect replica of an existing story, it'd only be considered stealing.

I have no idea why this is, but I do think as a saving grace, writing is probably the type of art people are least snooty about with it going something like music > drawing/painting > sculpting(statues, figures, 3D) > writing. People will basically read anything even if it is shit, but they will think any music they don't like is shit.

One other thing is that when you fuck up writing, you fuck up the whole thing. I don't mean small things like spelling and grammatical errors, which are like forgetting to color in something or making something slightly at a broken angle. I mean that even a image that is otherwise detestable might be technically impressive or be funny or have something good about it, but if writing is long and boring, the whole thing is long and boring. If it uses purple prose and a million unnecessary synonyms, then the whole thing is like that. If it is incoherent and nonsensical, then unless it's intended to be like that, it is just some bullshit.(even though I love reading shit like that myself. Schizo writing is funny.) You have to make the whole thing be good to have a good written work.

As for putting it in this thread, I think people should post writing in this thread in the context of a comic or even just illustrations(or a relevant image that may have inspired the piece) or bullshit calligraphy. Perhaps write a poem or something that has merit outside of the actual words it contains. Poetry and storytelling tend to have some sort of overall structure to them, similar to song lyrics, so they are more artistic and less some guy talking. Encase it in some sjis art if you can't think of anything else.

I think, much like Reimu, if you remove Sumireko's hat and accessories she tends to look like just a normal girl. Add in the aged up factor and she gets even further from what you might recognize as Sumireko. I'm not really sure this is fixable either, apart from giving her said accessories, or maybe just making her hair even bushier.
