makes sense. True ending and Arc's route in general aren't good to me due to how fast the pacing is for that route so I didn't build much of a connection to Arc. I still like True Ending for the sad nature of the parting and it didn't affect me too much. It also makes sense for Arc to want to restrain herself so she doesn't become a vampire that drinks blood from others. I like the manga's interpretation of the ending with Shiki breaking Arc free from her chains. Hope the remake goes with that ending and showing Arc's loneliness more so that I can care about her more. Glad that you like it anon, it sounds cute so I don't have an issue with you liking it.

I’m sure there will be things that I don’t like like the tone being off or a key moment from the OG VN missing. I’m not a fan of Arc and Ciel’s routes and I feel they need the most work for the remake so I’m not going to be too disappointed in the remake unless Nasu messes up completely. The next game with the other routes are worrisome since I love those and I feel that the tone will be completly different/off since the tone is more dark and serious rather than the action nature of the first two routes.

If you let Saber go without you she loses instantly to rule breaker + space freeze, then she comes back under new management to kill you. Its a chain of bad endings stemming from sending Saber to fight caster.
Even in the scenario you caution saber into a stalemate with caster you're in a losing situation and only get bailed out because Gil shows up and objects to other kids playing with his toys.

If shirou wasnt there to be threatened in the stalemate he wouldnt be there to tell saber to watch out and she would lose, honestly its an annoying segment of the VN of like 3/4 scenes/choices leading to the same bad end.

Although really, what Caster can do in a fight and what caster will do in a fight are different things. Possibly her biggest weakness is that for all of her ability and power when prepared, shes not a natural fighter like the other servants and has some major weaknesses (kuzuki being among them). Just get her flustered and emotional.

Replayed Tsukihime because of the upcoming remake. Honestly still great after all of this time, or maybe I'm just that biased and nostalgic for it. Ciel < Arc < Akiha < Hisui < Kohaku routes for me, though the Kohaku route kind of cheats by having the Hisui route lay down most of the foundation for it. I wouldn't argue with someone who liked the Hisui route more, but Kohaku route has the coffee drinking scene and best girl. That aside, while I like the Far Side routes more, I still genuinely liked the Near Side routes. I'm actually optimistic that the remake will improve on them, as long as they aren't too afraid of tying together Shiki's bloodlust and lust.
