First route done of Parfait. (pic related) There was definitely some things missing for the drama to make more sense (that was quickly told later on, too late really), but there's much much worse out there when it comes to character routes. It also felt rather rushed. Compared to Chocolat, I'd place this route after the "main" ones (Kanako, Midori), but before the others.
Bonus points for random Midori at the end.

I'll probably not check out the sister route (I can't into that), but the others I probably will be.

We should start somewhat far away from Wagahime. Did you know, that all the Tsuyokiss both new and old, Majikoi, Tsujidou, Kimiaru, Mottonee and a bunch of other games happen in the same universe? They do, they reference each other heavily and even though they most of the time have different writers, they share the same approach to what a visual novel should be and what kind of experience it should provide.

There is always one single goal. Fun.

No game in this universe tries to be phenomenal. There is no Soukou Akki Muramasa here that as a work of art has achieved perfection in every aspect, but is mentally exhausting to read. You are supposed to come home after a hard day at your job, pour yourself a glass of whatever alcoholic beverage you prefer, read for a few hours and then go to sleep with the widest smile on your face. Because you had fun.
The means used to achieve that goal however, slightly differ between series. Majikoi emphasizes comf, warmth. Tsuyokiss(new ones especially) - unique, funny characters and tons of references to itself. Tsujidou puts more emphasis on the humor and putting established characters in unexpected situations. Mottonee is such a disgusting abomination that it is just fun to talk shit about.

Wagahime has the same end goal, but the approach taken is different from before. Adventure is fun. But a lightish one. No mass murder, "cuddle-with-a-struggle" or anything of the sort. Shaon was sent out into the world by his foster dad/coach to get laid find himself a wife. It's just an adventure with a bunch of fun characters. The same principles, common to the games of the "universe", apply here as well. There won't be any characters, who's sole purpose is to be an annoyance. Annoyance is not fun. Hell, your average tsundere from some shitty charage is way more annoying that all the villains here combined. And that's how it should be here.
Takahiro's style of humor is exactly as you remember it, though there is less of it, since it is not the main focus this time around. Characters interact with each other just as you expect them to, but sometimes it all goes out the window (Minjara and a certain someone), and it is the comfiest and funniest stuff.

MISC:
1. Forced route order. I was upset at first. But after finishing the game, it is actually a necessity, routes spoil(and one-up) one another. It has to be read in that specific order, don't be a baby and deal with it. You don't just read Rea's route in Dies Irae first, right?
2. Side character routes. Horrible, 10 minutes long each and I hate them
3. Route 2 ending should've gone all the way, but whatever
4. Kakeai on closing the game, when Foru acts as Margit brought a tear to my eye
5. Protagonist is bland, but not the bad kind of bland. He will not do any hetare shit, won't act stupid, won't be a nuisance and that is enough
6. Once you are done with the game, look up character popularity poll results on Minato's site. Lots of spoilers but the results themselves are hilarious
7. Minjara and a certain someone's "bromance" in the 3rd route was godly(pun intended)

CONCLUSION:
There is not much to talk about here. The game is not about convoluted plot developments or philosophical musings. It's a light read, whose sole purpose is fun, in whatever form it may come. If you like Takahiro/Minato or anything in the vicinity, give it a go, you won't regret it. Just don't go in expecting a second coming of Lord of the Rings or something. And yeah, you should substract at least a point from my final score, I just can't bring myself to do it.

Once I'm done proofreading this shit I'll go to sleep. And I will be smiling ear to ear. And it is thanks to Minato again. You bastards

I'd not bother with Kizuato at all. Shizuku isn't great either, but at least it's a short and to the point playthrough. As much as the remake makes the characters tell you to PLEASE PLAY TILL THE END, you probably won't. Given the EGS time numbers, most don't. (and that's probably why they added such a weird scene.. heh)

Kizuato takes a lot longer to get going, and the writing is unfortunately too bad for that. You already know it's not going to be great, when the game literally starts with infodumps about characters and certain setting parts. And yeah, it's not going to get better. The protagonist's blind faith (and affection) to the literally most suspicious character will make you annoyed, and it doesn't help that this is ANOTHER story of "oh no, something possessed me and I may or may not have killed people!!!" story, cue emo emo emo thing.
The problem of old games. It was new, but people copied, improved and realized that this shit is kinda boring in the first place. (the writer can asspull anything they want, which good writers will want to avoid or at least change a bit)

Too many issues to make it worth it. Kizuato probably only works if it's your first in that general genre. Or you don't mind that you can guess everything easily, yet the game acting as if you'd never be able to do that.

Done with Yui's route. In some ways better, in some ways worse than Rea's. Rea still kinda steals the show, and it was quite weird how the cause of Rea's route apparently doesn't even happen in Yui's (which makes absolutely no sense), but alas. Also finished Rikako ending 1. I'm quitting on the Rikako/Ema part. It reminds me of the "main" drama part of Chocolat, just in way worse. The characters are less well written, and in general I have no idea how a single human being can be that oblivious and retarded at the same time, as the protagonist is here. Like if you are that big of a siscon, how isn't he hooked up with her since before the game starts, and how does he get so easily other girlfriends in other routes? You have to ignore too much of the rest of the game for this set of 2 routes to work and even then it just feels too dumb.

As a Yuifag I was pretty glad with her route. It just hits all the story beats a good route needs and actually peaks at the end. Rea's appearance is also way better here than her own route (although everything up until the second sex scene is pretty good in Rea true). My only criticism of Yui True is how they handled the love triangle. It doesn't lead to any good drama and just gets ignored whenever it's convenient.

It's not even that bad. It's just rushed and key information is withheld in a stupid way. That's generally an issue with the game. The structure isn't great, and as a result a lot ends up weirdly rushed and some things ending up missing. Like Rea's route needed at least another 2 or 3 hours. Which would be like another 100% more or so, to give you perspective.

But. It still handily beats the majority of games out there. Like even though I didn't enjoy Rikako's route, it still beats your typical moege story that yuzusoft and so on do in their routes, where it's too painful to not just ctrl.

I'm generally quite satisfied with the game so far. Unlike a lot of other games of that time, it wasn't popular because it tried to be different, and aged much better. Still though, its time of release shows. The structure, you wouldn't see nowadays anymore, because it just hurts the overall game. The routes being fairly short and kinda rushed. Could've definitely been better, but overall it's an improvement over Chocolat if you ask me. (that peaked higher, but also had way lower lows)
