Let's see...another tripfag who thought being friendly and ignoring the trolls would bring them peace...Pygmalion.

It got to the point where every time they made a post, five or six Anons would come in and create a sphere of /b/ around them, dedicating their time and energy to making their life on /jp/ so miserable that they left, predictably enough.

Ponpo-kun seems to be masochistic, a lot like ZUN. I don't know if Ponpo genuinely believes ignoring trolls here would make them go away, but apparently Ponpo didn't fucking learn from the first few times.

Anons here are very, very vicious even compared to the worst boards on 4chan. If they do not like you, they will go out of their way to cause so much rampant destruction wherever you post that the administration eventually may have no choice but to ban you. They will engineer bots to follow you around, spam your threads, report and sage for no good reason at all, and so on and so forth. They are the most LEGION-like of Anons, next to /b/.

My abrasive, aggressive behavior deters them, however. I don't enjoy having to act like a fucking asshole all the time, but it seems to be necessary.

Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈuɣo rafaˈel ˈtʃaβes ˈfɾi.as]) (born July 28, 1954) is the President of Venezuela. As the leader of the Bolivarian Revolution, Chávez promotes a political doctrine of participatory democracy, socialism and Latin American and Caribbean cooperation. He is also a critic of neoliberalism, globalization, and United States foreign policy.

A career military officer, Chávez founded the left-wing Fifth Republic Movement after orchestrating a failed 1992 coup d'état against former President Carlos Andrés Pérez. Chávez was elected President in 1998 with a campaign centering on promises of aiding Venezuela's poor majority, and was reelected in 2000 and in 2006. Domestically, Chávez has maintained nationwide Bolivarian Missions, whose goals are to combat disease, illiteracy, malnutrition, poverty, and other social ills. Abroad, Chávez has acted against the Washington Consensus by supporting alternative models of economic development, and has advocated cooperation among the world's poor nations, especially those in Latin America.

Chávez's policies have evoked controversy in Venezuela and abroad, receiving everything from vehement criticism to enthusiastic support. The government of the United States claims that Chávez is a threat to democracy in Latin America. Many other governments sympathize with his ideology or welcome his bilateral trade and reciprocal aid agreements. In 2005 and 2006 he was named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people.

Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar (c. 1040, Vivar, near Burgos, Spain – July 10, 1099, Valencia), known as El Cid Campeador, was a Castilian nobleman, a military leader and diplomat who, after being exiled, conquered and governed the city of Valencia. Rodrigo Díaz was educated in the royal court of Castile and became the alférez, or chief general, of Alfonso VI, and his most valuable asset in the fight against the Moors.

The name "El Cid" comes from the Spanish article El, and the dialectal Arabic word سيد sîdi or sayyid, which means "Lord". The title Campeador is the Old Spanish version of the Latin campi doctor or campi doctus; the term can be found in writings of late Latinity (4th – 5th century) and can be found in some inscriptions of that era. After that period it became rare, although still sometimes found in the writings of the less educated writers of the Middle Ages. The literal significance of the expression campi doctor is "master of the military arts", and its use in the period of the late Roman Empire appears to have signified only one who instructed new military recruits. But it was in current usage when El Cid was still alive, and was applied to Rodrigo by a member of his circle in an official document promulgated in his name in 1098. Overall, then, El Cid Campeador translates as "The lord, master of military arts". He is considered the national hero of Spain.

Sigmund Freud (German pronunciation: [ˈziːkmʊnt ˈfʁɔʏt]), Sigismund Schlomo Freud (May 6, 1856 – September 23, 1939), was an Austrian neurologist who founded the psychoanalytic school of psychology. Freud is best known for his theories of the unconscious mind and the defense mechanism of repression and for creating the clinical practice of psychoanalysis for treating psychopathology through dialogue between a patient and a psychoanalyst. Freud is also renowned for his redefinition of sexual desire as the primary motivational energy of human life, as well as his therapeutic techniques, including the use of free association, his theory of transference in the therapeutic relationship, and the interpretation of dreams as sources of insight into unconscious desires. He was also an early neurological researcher into cerebral palsy.

While of unique historical interest, many of Freud's ideas have fallen out of favor or have been modified by Neo-Freudians and at the close of the 20th century, advances in the field of psychology began to show flaws in many of his theories. Freud's methods and ideas remain important in clinical psychodynamic approaches. In academia, his ideas continue to influence the humanities and some social sciences.

The company was eventually founded by Kiichiro Toyoda in 1937 as a spinoff from his father's company Toyota Industries to create automobiles. Toyota also owns and operates Lexus and Scion brands and has a majority shareholding stake in Daihatsu and Hino Motors, and minority shareholdings in Fuji Heavy Industries, Isuzu Motors, and Yamaha Motors. The company includes 522 subsidiaries.

Toyota is headquartered in Toyota City and Nagoya (both in Aichi), and in Tokyo. In addition to manufacturing automobiles, Toyota provides financial services through its division Toyota Financial Services and also builds robots. Toyota Industries and Finance divisions form the bulk of the Toyota Group, one of the largest conglomerates in the world.

On May 8, 2009, Toyota reported a record annual net loss of US$4.4 billion, making it the latest automobile maker to be severely affected by the 2007-2009 financial crisis.

/bun/ in general was a bad idea because it split our userbase in half. Maybe Eksopl could create a board called /bun/ that links the ghost board to /bun/. >The Ghostboard is even slower than /bun/.
Once we accept the fact that the ghost board is nothing more than an IRC style textboard, it'll have much more activity. It was foolish of me to think this place could have become something more than that. One of the reasons why the ghost board used to move faster is because there was a lot more e-drama e.g., AO vs Athens vs (me) robotechguy vs AO-impersonator vs Jones vs etc.... Looking back on those days, they were the best days of the ghost board. And to those that may disagree with me, in the case of forums with small userbases such as ours: quantity is much more important than quality. Now this doesn't mean we should turn this board into tripgaia, we should just embrace the 'social' nature of the ghost board (and stop pretending we're /jp/).

Also, me being gone for two months probably didn't help either. I don't know what happened here, but I could have sworn there was a lot more activity before I left.

>> No.3465497,24 [INTERNAL]

>>3465497,23
Your mistake was in expecting in expecting too much from what's essentially a feature tacked on.
The purpose of this place is archiving some of the boards, and provide a way for people to comment after the fact. The fact that moronic threads are bumped, that thoughtful discussions are had from time to time, or that most of the posts have dealt with poster personalities don't matter because they neither of them deviate from a goal. Because there's none.

>Like it's not possible to browse 5 or 6 different internet sites at once.
One of the reasons why iichan failed to become as big as 4chan is because iichan had 40+ boards. With so much boards it was impossible for the small userbase to stay in contact with each other. (So instead of communicating with each other they just made imagedumps.) Even the folks at /bun/ were smart enough to realize the importance of a tight knit community, hence the the reason why it only has two boards.

Also, I think the lack of sage on this ghost board succeeded at keeping us closer together.

>> No.3465497,29 [INTERNAL]
