Capcom with Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, only to fuck up and kill MVC3 early with Ultimate, and completely fuck up Street Fighter X Tekken, Street Fighter V and Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite.
So things are looking pretty bad and a lot of gachafags who still play FGO either view themselves as being in a sinking ship or are constantly complaining for Delightworks to get their shit together in vain hopes of having a turnaround.

Wrong, one of the main advantages of Touhou is how vast it is.
Most people get railed into Touhou because of the music, but even if that wasn't the case vtubers cannot replace what Touhou does because they are very fundamentally different.

Vtubers do one thing and that's squeal into the mic and entertain their audience.
Touhou is everything. Touhou isn't limited to one description because of how vast its become because of its longevity.
This is part of why Touhou stands so long and is basically unkillable, you can get into Touhou with so many avenues. There is no end in its content, and due to how varied it is, it takes a really long time to get sick of it once you get into it.

Nope. Comiket had a large amount of Touhou dojin circles long after Reitaisai started in 2004. Touhou is just declining in popularity due to competitors like Kancolle in the east and Undertale in the west. If you actually monitor trends the decline in comiket circles and the decline of Touhou on google trends is around 2013. Which means the decline of 2hu at comiket mirror the decline in 2hu as a fandom in general.

2hu is dying and I doubt T18 will spark life back into it with their rainbow designs. When artist start using rainbows it shows they are out of ideas and are getting desperate.

The statistics doesn't look too bad to me. We should know that the booming in 2009-2012 was a fluke instead of organic due to the spread of meme videos, state of the internet, etc as you see a huge spike there when it started to raise. The wave simply had died down like any other trend and Touhou simply returned to its initial state which I assume is pre-SA. That means ZUN's "magnum opus" like EoSD, PCB, IN had the same reception as new games. Whoa.

Also, 1600 circles are still huge to me and other events like Reitaisai, Koroumu, etc probably doubled that amount.

Pretty much. The difference between Flan's rainbow and Chimata's is that Flan's is washed out, purely to put focus on the bright red of her dress. Thus her wings don't make her design feel too gaudy to look at.
Chimata on the other hand, has all of these colors in the same hue, including the inside of her cape, making it look off. Fortunately an easy way to fix this is to make the inside of the cape a shade of white/gray so that the contrast and focus is on the hues of her dress
