The thing is I was in iishanten with 5 pairs after 2 turns. You normally don't go from iishanten closed hand to 2shanten toitoi, you could always get tenpai, riichi, menzentsumo.

The NoName bots in general aren't hard to beat. Although recognizing the delay for each discard is difficult since bots do not create delay and maybe difficult to identify their potential winning tiles.

It's the ones that has the ability to card count that will destroy any novice opponents that have poor reading ability and carelessly discard the live tiles especially after a richii is declared. The potential cheating I see is the use of card counter which isn't hard to program to be honest from a programmer point of view.

It's just sniffing packets, receiving them, and sending them, just like all other online game bots.

If any bots go richii, always play defensive and deal out safe tiles. Don't try to win unless you have a potential minimum mangan hand you are willing to risk. From what I observed, many players opt to discard live tiles and this is causing them to lose to bots. So I personally believe the bot "rhetoric" is over-stated here. Many players are just not using the correct methods to counter against the bot.

Yeah, it's not too bad to get into 2dan. Since in the dan lobby you lose 45 points for a loss but gain 60 for a win (and even 15 for 2nd) at 1dan, you should get 2dan eventually (especially since you start at 200 points and only need to get to 400).
