Therefore, according to Anon, one can freely disregard these supposedly reputable sources of knowledge on the ZUNiverse.

All very well and good. SSIB? An anemic, lackluster, underperformed production, weak even by doujin standards, lacking any sort of coherent organization of plot, large holes in the story here and there, flat, two-dimensional characters that either fulfill their functions as plot devices and fade away just as quickly, mechanically carry out their duties to keep the story moving without showing much characterization elsewhere, or do not contribute to the overall story - or lack thereof - and are only there by popular demand, doing nothing and saying nothing of importance.

The characters fail to evoke any sort of empathy from the audience, the story, if it can even be called as such, fails to reel one in and hold one's interest, the plot is poorly handled and fails to bear up under its own weight, and the ending leaves almost no closure whatsoever.

It is, indeed. It is mediocre - very, very mediocre, and weak in regards to story[I use this term as lightly as possibly, because there almost is no story in SSIB, unless you can call a poorly contrived, last-minute attempt at coherence a story].

I doubt that one who has sat down and indulged in literature of the thinking man, such as Goethe, E. T. A. Hoffmann, or Victor Hugo - as overplayed as Les Misérables may be it is still quite a good read - would call SSIB 'good'.
