How did you do it?
Winetricks refuse to download the vcruns on 64bit prefixes. But even after installing them on a win32 prefix, I could not get the game to open. I'm using WINE 5.5 (not staging, I downgraded to the normal release due to some regression affecting me, but that was a while ago, so I might try staging again).

That being said, the updated version of the game (1.1.0) almost works!
I can make the game launch and it appears to play normally, with the notable exception that some of the sprites (including Yuuka and the ground) do not show up on the screen. I can make the screen scroll by walking around, and the dashes and jumps seem to work and sounds play. I can talk to people (see the text in the screenshot). There is always the white box in the upper-right corner, and the ground is just a flat green box.

I think we should focus our efforts on 1.1 for now. A notable difference between 1.0 and 1.1 is that 1.1 has dll's and resources not being embedded in the .exe itself, but as separate files in the game directory. This appears to have solved the problem that my game wasn't able to find mozjs-33.dll.

Normally, you wouldn't touch it, but I got very little informative output when trying to run version 1.0.0 of the game, so I made it (much) more verbose by running WINE with
WINEDEBUG=+relay,+seh wine <game.exe>

Regarding 1.1.0, since libpng.dll gave some warnings (seemingly related to using an old libpng), I tried to place a libpng.dll in the game's directory. No success. Probably, the game uses its own libpng in plugins/codec/libpng_plugin.dll, although the filename is different... maybe?

Remember that, Yuuka is an old youkai, she is a mean youkai, and remember to stay away. She is a dangerous youkai!

What I did notice when running the game was that when the game tried to load into a level (see attached picture), it kept making ntdll and KERNEL32 callbacks. I then checked the WINE user guide and found that the Native version of ntdll does not work on WINE (s 4.1.2.1). Could not find a built-in version of ntdll through winecfg either. I'm not sure what to do from here besides run WINEDEBUG and share the output.
