Not sure about outright recognise, but it helps with differentiating between two similar kanji.
Its main benefit is probably if you have to look up a kanji either by drawing it or radical look up. Makes it a lot easier if you can pick out the components rather quickly.

here its standard practice if u are well off enough and need a surgery to go see a doctor in a private clinic and if u go to a good one the doc is probably the chief of his department at whatever state hospital he also works at so he just puts u at the front of the line for the surgery at the state hospitallol
