Very late but happy late Easter you guys! Here is a progress on the custom fumos, it’s been a while and the legs look wonky but I’ll fix them when I can!

Hear ye, hear ye, fair people of /fumo/!
Today I bring you, the 2021 /fumo/ census report, processed, compiled, and visualized by me. A word of warning, I'm not a graphic designer, so sorry for any bleeding eyeballs, also the image is approx 3000x15000 pixels so it's going to take some zooming to see all the text.

There's a lot of data, and a lot of correlations that can be made with this data, so interpret it at your own peril. Now then, let me explain a few details not described in the charts or data. Firstly off, after going through and validating each and every answer, and correlating each answer with their participant's timestamp, I ended up with 94 "legit" participants. This being the internet and 4chan, all of the data cannot be taken at face value. Despite that, I have given the benefit of the doubt to the realistic enough answers, and included them in the data.
The more attentative poster may also notice a slight data discrepancy in relation to people owning fumos, and they'd be partially correct. After some analysis, some charts say that 17 people do not own fumos, while others say that 21 do not. This can be easily explained with the fact that 4 people, at the time of answering, are waiting for their first fumos. As such, 21 people do not own fumos at the moment, but 18 people have spent $0 on fumos, one having received a fumo as a gift, bringing the actual number down to 17.

Sell them for market value. Put them up on eBay for MSRP (or a bit lower since they're opened) and let people bid them up as they want. That's not scalping. Scalping is when you buy something with the explicit intent of selling it for more. You bought those fumos because you wanted them, so you aren't scalping. They just happen to be worth more in the free market than what you paid for them.

If your finances are in such trouble that you need to part with soft friends to make rent, you should at least get market value for them.

Construction fortunately isn't an issue as I'm over halfway through a fashion degree (I know), I'm just the worlds most lazy draughtsman. Will probably be drafting a pattern eventually using this as a reference, so thank you for creating it! Was it an educated guess, taking a pattern from a finished fumo or did you take apart a bootleg?
Honestly the only part I'm a bit eh about is the embroidery, as machines at the level I would want them are crazy expensive and as much as I would like to, I can't sit in uni all day testing faces for softs.

I took apart an existing fumo- if you make a superior fumo pattern, please share it, to promote Global Fumo Proliferation!
The embroidery is a bit of work, but you can do it by hand and it looks good enough. Not professional, but good enough. I've made it work by printing a copy of the face, putting a light under it, and tracing over the facial features with a pen, then embroidering over that.

I've seen some people pull off a good monk-esque look, where they've gone completely naturally bald except for around the back of their head, and what little they have left is white. It depends on the degree of baldness, but generally I agree you're better off shaving it.
