Alternative aside, you probably already know how fucking awesome it is, Haruka ni Aogi, Parfait, Ruitomo, Tsubasa and Moshiraba are fucking great and well worth being in any top 10.

And CC and Sengoku Rance are already available in english, you guys can already judge them, and I doubt anyone serious could deny that they are great.

Sengoku Rance is a fucking addictive RTS game.
It doesn't try to have a DEEP story but what it does it does extremely well.
In term of pure gameplay, it's probably the best eroge.

I don't really think there's anything wrong with EGS's 90+ list, save for maybe some neverheard game like 灰瞳に機す with 7 votes. I mean, I personally wouldn't give FSN, Rance nor E17 a 90+ rating, but whatever; all of these games are pretty damn popular and uniformly highly rated outside of /jp/.

Never really understood the "brickshitting" in E17. The ending was the weakest part of the game IMO. I was enjoying it way more during the earlier routes, when the science-out-of-the-window wasn't all that evident yet.

Will never be in a the top of a ranking like this and you know it.
Sort of eroge that is liked by a small minority, for good reasons of course, but it won't ever appeal to the mass.
"Normal" eroge players won't like it, I bet not many people here would like it if it was translated.

And for Key, Air usually makes the cut as far as eroge goes, but it's old now.
And Clannad would probably up there without the eroge clause, Japaneses just love it.

Very debatable, most routes are very solid, only one that is kinda weak is Kyou really.
And it has a good atmosphere, great humor, lots of happy tear and family values.

Maybe, but the other routes more than make up for the crappy ones. If a story ends well, people generally don't mind if it contains extra routes that don't exactly add to it (see G Senjou no Maou, Natsuyume Nagisa, Hoshizora no Memoria etc.)

I just don't like how the game basically force you to get 13lights for you to unlock the last route.

That ending can only really come about when you have a VN written by multiple scenario writers, and when the person writing the 'true end' hates all the other writers.

Despite being a huge 'fuck you' it was still an excellent ending - just up to you whether to treat it as 'canon' or not I suppose. Hitsuji route was still the strongest in my opinion - manly tears etc.
