FL studio is actually pretty intuitive. I'm still a beginner but the learning curve is quite comfortable, even though it looks overwhelming at first.

I dont know if you are familiar with it, but i composed the Symphony No.9. You should check it out, i think it turned out quite good.

start with something easy, like Mario Paint Composer or something like that.
Get used to it and you can move on later to higher level composers.

I have Jazzware, but I'm not very good with it. In fact, I can't even use it to make covers of tunes I already know. I just can't find the damn notes. Sometimes I have a C that's the note I have in my head, and I need to have one that's a little higher. But D and E are not the right ones then nor are those with # and I'm just left thinking "what the shit?"
