Out of boredom, I took some assets off the internet, upscaled them with waifu2x, and slapped this mock screenshot together in Photoshop. I think it could work for those who want to read the original with a light coat of paint.
Upscaling the CG artwork might be kind of difficult though because you won't be able to just zoom it in, someone would have to redraw some bits.

Unless you speak Japanese you won't be able to read the remake. There is no official translation yet and the fansubs are probably going to take months. Earliest you'll be looking at is Q1 2022.
Also the remake is split into two parts in order to increase emphasis on the routes. The original has all 5 routes in it, the first part of the remake (the one coming out) will have only 2. The other 3 are going to be out 2030, if Nasu keeps it at this pace.
There is no reason not to play the original.
