This guide is what happens if you try to tell everything while saying nothing for new learners.
It's pretty good for people who already are balls deep into Japanese, but makes no sense for new learners.

is already a waste of time for people who actually want to be fluent in Japanese.

Heisig like every other Japanese student knew that if you can't even read (in Japanese reading can also mean recognizing the Kanji as a beginner) the stuff that is written, you can't master the language. Every new learner who skips Heisig and just goes straight into Japanese will either quit or waste a lot of time because you have to learn Kanji with Heisig if you want to or not.
There is even an awesome free Koohii deck with all 3k Kanji and amazing stories right on the Anki site. Not learning Kanji with the Heisig method is like jumping out of the airplane without parachute. Everything is "more fun" until you reach the advanced Japanese ground.

Also this guide looks like a shit immersion approach which is useless and is just there to bait people into wasting their time instead of learning with textbooks and actually improving. The "immersion approach" is only there to solidify your Japanese, but immersion is not able to help you advance in Japanese. Immersion is what you do after you reached an advanced level with textbooks to make listening and reading Japanese faster and easier to process for your brain while also getting less exhausted.

The only reason why some people should learn Japanese with immersion is if they only need to remember a few hundred sentences. Japanese is a language which makes you think to improve fast, but also makes you quit even faster after you realize that you were just on mount stupid.
