When I first got into 2hu I definitely remember the PV scene being really big. There were a lot of them for the bigger remix circles like IOSYS or Innocent Key. They seem to have died down for a bit, but it's nice knowing that they're still a thing.

Alright. Here's my zendo hypothesis.

If the word "s o y" occurs alone, it will be converted to "onions", like so: onions. If it begins a word, it will become "based", presumably to turn "s o y b o y" into "basedboy", like so: basedboy, basedgirl, basedman, basedwoman. "S o y l e n t" is an exception that becomes "onions", presumably because of the meal replacement product by that name, like so: onions.

The question is: why would they waste resources on implementing those filters on /jp/? Posting beans of asian origin is not something that happens very often on /jp/.

Shitty thread wassoy?
Basedbeans (no space)?
Soya beans?

>Posting beans of asian origin is not something that happens very often on /jp/.
And when we do post about them it's usually in the context of your pic related rather than in reference to the apocryphal effects of their not-even-actually-bioavailable phytoestrogen content on sperm count or whatever. It was probably less work to apply them globally than to make /jp/ an exception.

Awhile ago I remember "baka" (s m h), "desu" (s m h), and "senpai" (f a m) being globally filtered to "baka", "desu", and "senpai" respectively. It forced the creation of some amusing slang variants like "2bh" and "fampai". And... IIRC they also filtered "SJW" to SPOOKY SCARY SKELETON one Halloween. I was actually disappointed when they got rid of that one the next day.

On that note... I wonder if "wapanese" (w a p a n e s e) still filters to weeaboo?

Ah, neat, it's still there! baka desu senpai baka desu senpai baka desu senpai!

Don't engage. A single "fuck off crossboarder", "who are you quoting?", "based on what?", etc. is enough. If you reply to his replies you're just feeding a troll. Hide it and move on. Better yet, report the trolling.
