I just finished Tsukihime and I really enjoyed but why lock out paths until multiple play throughs? It's keeping me from picking up Fate/Stay Night until my friend gives me his save.

If you play UBW without playing Fate, you will be confused off your balls.

If you play HF without playing either, you will be confuseder off your ballser.

The routes are based off the knowledge of things you know from the previous routes.

HF sounds the most interesting though. I'll learn why Assassin doesn't have a master and the skipping back and forth because of Shiki's weakness sounds interesting too!

That's told in UBW.

Fake Assassin, at least.

True Assassin (who is in HF) has a Master.

Which is another reason why playing the routes out of order.

Play HF first and you won't even know what the fuck is up with Fake/True Assassins.

Or play all 3 routes and rage that Lancer sucks in all of them.

I would like to point out that this is obviously not a troll. This is the true opinion of it's poster, with no ulterior motive of causing rage in those who read it.

I dunno, I feel that the Fate routes are meant to be played in order... the amount you learn in each route helps for the next imo... though I'll agree for Tsukihime, I guess.

>> No.3391904

Tsukihime locks out paths for multiple playthroughs to prevent people from playing the game in the wrong order and lessening the impact. You NEVER want to play the best route first when you start an eroge - the rest of the eroge will underwhelm you and you'll be left with a much worse impression of it. Best to play the worst route first and have the best route somewhere between the middle and the end (inclusive).
