I got a couple hundred hours under my belt for Monster Hunter World alone, and I can tell you with 100% confidence....
I'm a filthy bow user so, outside of seeing Aruran(?) using an early game HBG, they seem like they're doing alright across the board to me. It all looks like the usual "early game Monster Hunter" experience. Pretty trashy equipment and fun monsters. Haven't seen anyone really crash and burn terribly.
Only one I can think of is Oga, but he was using Greatsword.

Its hard to say just from early monsters and starting gear in mp but for the most part its obvious that a lot of them have played before, mostly yesterday they were playing without much thought into upgrading and moving around from weapon to weapon. Oga is new and does standard new mh player things, he doesnt tackle yet and doesnt know the monsters well but its fine because multiplayer.
I still have a lot of archives to look at, only really watched yesterdays collab from Temmas pov. Once theres more solo footage and the hr/quests get higher you can get a better idea.

Well, I think it's not fair to expect their usual APEX dynamic right off the bat. You have to remember that this is their first official collab, and the big thing is Astel is out of his comfort zone known as APEX. That game gives him a massive buff to his socializing skills.
