It's a difficult question. Outside of 3DPD and vtubers I enjoy almost everything that could be discussed on this board to some degree. That was why I came here. But everything has been crammed into a general. Generals inevitably become insular micro-communities full of circlejerking, off topic arguments, ritualistic posting, and spamming just to perpetuate the general rather than discuss the topic. Not just on /jp/ either. It's a site wide problem. So I went from ignoring threads I wouldn't ever be interested in to hiding even the threads I was interested in because I couldn't bear to look at them. I don't know what I come here for now.

With how things are going now, I wouldn't be too surprised if they decided to renamed /jp/ to "Otaku Culture General" in a few years from now. Outside of Touhou, you can't discuss anything unless you make a general thread.

Do you want to discuss a specific VN or doujin game on the doujin soft and visual novel board? Forget it. Make a general and keep bumping it with inane crap until you eventually form a little circlejerk. Complete with characterX-fags, tripfaggots, attentionwhores and drama.
