I've been seeing a lot of understandable Reiko Sawamura hate in these threads but since becoming quite fond of her performances despite initially finding her quite unattractive, I'd like to share some of my thoughts.

In order to appreciate her appeal, you need to fully grasp her blandness. It's what makes her so great in those neglected housewife titles because she actually looks like one. If anything, she's the only one to pull this off convincingly without some suspension of disbelief as most of the other more mainstream mature actresses are simply far too attractive: Yuka Mizuno and Maki Hojo are conventionally beautiful with a mature elegance, Yuna Hayashi is similarly elegant with the addition of her trademark haughtiness and uniquely striking appearance, Reiko Kobayakawa is sensual and sexual to an excessive degree, Aki Sasaki is just an anomaly in terms of being very pretty and barely aging while still having a housewife vibe, and the list goes on...

But it is precisely because of Reiko Sawamura's slightly unattractive blandness that, when contrasted with her filthiness, makes her so enjoyable to watch. The pleasure associated with seeing a conventionally attractive woman having sex is fairly straightforward but the excitement from watching a bland and frankly borderline ugly Reiko Sawamura get increasingly nasty and enthusiastic for some thorough dicking is its own kind of 'taboo'.
