I have issues with the pacing. There's no way around it, this is a boring movie.
But that's what makes it so good. You see, it manages to capture not only the confusion from being in an alien culture, but the rising melancholy that comes with it. The movie has more significance on its silent scenes than when there's actual interaction.

It's not a masterpiece, since a better work would bypass the whole boring part while delivering the same environment.

But then I realized, with the exception of maybe two people, all Americans were portrayed as idiots as well.
