It's shit because:

1. Most of the music sucks.
2. Most of the bosses are unimaginative shit (see image).
3. Life system is really stupid.

EoSD: Debut onto Windows. Somewhat balanced as far as difficulty progression goes.
PCB: Hard, but rewarding. Great system.
IN: Huge cast and tons of story, but far too easy
MoF: Good level of difficulty. Bland cast, save the gods.
SA: Pretty balanced, hard on low difficulties. Good cast.
UFO: Balls hard. One or two good characters, the rest forgettable.

ITT we realize that IN was the epitome of the series, with its large cast, accessible gameplay, huge replay value, plenty of unlockables, and most importantly, a giant library of spellcard challenges after you were through 1CC'ing Lunatic.

I can 1CC MoF reliably, but not IN. I would say MoF is easier if solely because the system lets you get away with far more bombing than IN.

Hina is a great character. There hasn't been a single bad stage 2 character in windows Touhou-era.

Could be that very few people have actually seen a Magpul (or know Google exists) and want to throw in some cutting edge names. I mean, unless you don't know which end the bullets come out of, it's pretty hard mixing up conventional rifles and bullpups.
In either case, doubt Youmu would even go near anything with that much plastic in it.

Maybe that's the whole idea of that gun. Looks like it's got tons of metal parts from different high end rifles, but only a few essential plastic parts. Roukanken and Hakurouken both have lots of black cast iron parts, so fits Youmu's weapon theme.
