My mother is dead.

She never asked.

I tell her she just needs to wait a couple of years, my slutty sister will probably get pregnant before she's 22 anyway.

My mother is currently 5 months pregnant. If I had to guess, I'd say she isn't really ready for grandkids just yet.

In a society lacking of social security (who'll take care of you when you're getting too old and incapable of making a living), having kids is the obvious answer. Invest in your biological/adopted children and they'll take care of you. More is better.

Now? Depends on where you live perhaps. I'd rather gain cash and move to somewhere else with good social security level (Finland for example), contribute and die there without having to force my inferior gene-set to live on.

I always make up some bullshit about some girl I'm pursuing and 'we'll see how it goes'.
It's partly true, but said girl is usually an unrequited crush/someone who doesn't even know I exist. Luckily my cousin got herself pregnant so now she's in the spotlight.

The reason why your parents pressure you to have kids is quite simple. They're old now, and their own lives are very boring and uneventful. There's also the fact that their great white hope, you, failed to become a Nobel Prize winner, NFL All Star, or hell even a productive member of society. So having grandchildren would give them something new to follow.

Seriously, you'd have to be pretty delusional to talk about grandkids to someone who has never even provided for themselves, and never brought a girl home either, for that matter.

I could understand if I were 25+ years old, lived on my own, was done with education, had a job and had a girlfriend for at least 2 years, but expecting someone like to get children at this point is on the same level as expecting me to start a profitable business on my own overnight.
