The climb itself went well; it was a little more cold than I would have anticipated in practice, but it was exhilarating and pretty simple with my Greenworm next to me. Upon reaching a rest stop up the mountain, a large unexpected snow storm rolled in, probably some idiot said the Ice Queen's ass was too fat or something. So we were forced to shelter there and hopefully be able to make it back down the mountain come tomorrow, which wasn't too big a deal seeing as they had a nice cave-like camping area where we could set up. Despite the circumstances, it was actually pretty peaceful, with my worm sitting in my lap while we kept ourselves warm next to the fire. As I looked down on her while she drifted away to sleep, I ran my hand through her hair while remembering all the fun we had that day climbing. Who would have thought that my original plans getting mucked up would result in such a clandestine and comfy situation? I gave her a little kiss on the forehead and hugged her close before carrying her to her sleeping bag and slipping her in. I must have been feeling a bit cold myself, as the fire was dying out and I had an almost uncontrollable urge to slip into that bag with her! I was thinking about Magus_anons story and realized that anon being teleported to the jungle may have saved his life. When Tomb Haven did the ritual the power surge knocked everyone out for around two weeks which means that anon would have been transported into the heart of a demon realm and gotten mana poisoning with no one around to help him.

Also I know it's part of the story but it does irk me that they spent 50 years and unimaginable resources to summon a human then gave up even though they knew his last location was somewhere in the jungle.
