Why do so many people hate the idea of a Miku anime? Like, I would be really happy to see a story that shows Miku as a person, a living human being, I just find songs a bit not enough. Unless it is explicitly stated that "this is THE official canonic Miku story and personality and everything else is invalid", I dont see the problem with that. Like, any song is a separate story about Miku, anime isnt that much different, its only a different format. Yeah, one can argue that a full-on anime can force people to think that some headcanons are the primary ones, but overall I dont think anime is a bad idea-just another story, albeit in a different format. We have already had light novels and mangas based on Miku's songs (and sometimes not based on songs at all), so an anime would be ok too.

Why did they not make an anime around 2007/2008 when vocaloid was massive.

The personality she has in the game is basically that of a brick, however.

I think people just don't like the idea of her being given an "official" personality with CFM's blessing when until now it has always been whatever a song she was featuring in demanded, thus completely up to the producer and completely independent from all of her other songs.

Well, an anime could be more or less independent too, to the same extent as Miku's songs usually are. The creators could write a disclaimer among the lines of "This is just one vision of Miku, it is not canon, Miku can be whatever you want blah blah blah" if you want it to be as "non-canon" as possible. I reckon they did something like that in Project Sekai, which has story and Miku's personality or something.

I have my own detailed interpretation of Miku, so if she show will have one constant oc personality, it will dissonant with the way I see her. Of course songs and various other media do this as well, but it's not really the same format as anime. Songs or fanarts might be enjoyable simply because they are actually a good music or arts, but typical anime is all about the characters, it's the focal point. In worst case their interpretation might leak into concerts, songs, and other media breaking the status quo.
The other thing is that the anime will mostly likely be very mediocre if not shit. Adaptations of franchises that aren't based on manga/books/vns never really works out. These studios who will be responsible do not look promising. And I'd hate if it turned out to be ecchi or something. I do not want to see sudden rise in threads sexualizing her.
And there is aspect of unwanted attention from anime-only fags who do not care about music at all.

Basically there is barely any chance this will have overal positive impact, and there is many things that can go wrong. That's what's worrying me.

I used an airbrush but hand painting with a brush looks like shit for stuff like this since you always see the brush strokes. Airbrush makes it feel a lot more professional and finished.

I've spent the last four days sanding and priming it and even with the air brush I missed things and messed up in places but I'm satisfied enough with it to put it on a shelf.

Might just print stickers for the eyes because I'll probably ruin it freehanding them.
